i heard that the original Bhoto was stolen by Gyanendra or his brother and already sold as some antique in Europe. THis is the replica of the original and this is shown as Bhoto. And i think he is the chief guest in the jatra. THis is called real JATRA...

How come bahuns (looking at the picture above) get to be the purohits of Machindranath? Shouldn't Newar pujaris hold that place, as this jatra is from Malla kaal and is mostly celebrated among Newari communities? What gives?

Hushpuppy Bahini, it is a Newari culture so don't be regid in spelling. You could correct spelling if it were an English word. By the way, I am Sherpa rathar, close to votte (bhote).
