Let me try to answer � this is one of the reason, I have recently

Nepal is one of the poorest counries of the world but Nepal's king is
the highest paid king of the world.

The income of Nepali king Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev is :
2,426 times higher than that of Chinese president
318 times higher than that of Indian president
301 times higher than that of Pakistani president
173 times higher than that of Russian president
57 times higher than that of French president
15 times higher than that of British president
10 times higher than that of American president

Netherlands queen's income : Rs. 22,32,00,000 (per capita income Rs
17,25,120 )
American president earns Rs. 3,24,00,000 (1,15,20,000 returns in tax),
(per capita income Rs 25,24,320)
Japanese king earns Rs. 22,23,52,000 (per capita income Rs.24,15,600)
Chinese president earns Rs. 1,35,000 (per capita income Rs 67,680)
Indian president earns Rs. 10,11,000 (per capita income Rs 34,560)

British Queen does not get any salary from the state. She has a

Belgean king receives salary as a civil servant (per capita income is

[This means the Nepali king earns Rs. 19,878 times higher than a
citizen. Last year it was 37,385 times higher. Thus a citizen can earn
as much as the king earns in a year only after working for 19,000
years or in 316 lives. Ho la!]

Appendix
Nepali royal family is involved in various business.
A king does not have to pay tax according to Nepal's constitution.
The present king has inherited the property of earlier king's family
and nobody knows how much it is.
This king has taken Rs 1,06,45,00,000 in past three years for his small
family

Ofcourse, anything against royals is wrong information. That's why they need to ban not letting any wrong informations to be printed. Political leaders don't need to care about the prints because it is quite obvious to be true all the time.

Nothing, to earn one has to work. He gets alms in the largest amount ever.

Ok he works, but none of his kinsmen and women do. The king of our country should be happy with the salary of a secretary general for he's got so much respect from the people and that position itself is worth a lot of fulfillness in one's heart.

This is whats called "asshole journalism" in the business. It's sole purpose is to deceive the fact in the eyes of the readers.

Shiv, you might be correct about king's salary being around $30,000 /year. But the figure given by this person is trying to make it sound like that's how much king pockets from Nepal every year, when in fact it might have been the number that is required to run the institution of monarchy (if at all the figure provided is accurate). Just like there is a budget to run The White House, which is different from what Presidents are paid.

These kinds of attempts at provoking hate towards our king getting is getting pathetic by days. All it does is open the eyes of the people that if king were to go, these are the assholes in line to replace him. So, a HELL NO to that.

How about after adding all the security and administration costs to maintain royal palace and their sabaris (swadeshi and bideshi). What do we get in return from him?

Dude, you're right, this number does not accurately reflect the reality. This is just the king's bhatta. the cost to run the institution is much higher than this. there is a separte section in the budget for royal palace expenses. this bhatta is only part of that.
add to that the security expenses (hey we are paying for the army too!).
add to that the transportation expenses.
plus he dun' pay tax. not only on the bhatta but whatever other amount he earns legally. let's not even go into the money made illegally.
and, he don't pay the electricity bill.
etc. etc.

If this is what it means to save our motherland from the raping political parties did on her the last 15 year, then so be it. Never in the history of our nation have so many people died in such a short period of time...not even during WWI or WWII.

That भट्ट in Pashupati and our King Gyanendra are of the same kind. Both loot our money in the name of religion. That money can be used in a lot of other purposes. We don't want our money being spent on any 20 million wedding or 2.4 million Harley while people are living in such poverty striken conditions.

His Royal Palace spending amounts to more than $5 million.

Obviously, the one who sucks and takes his country, its wealth and people as granted for centuries without any hope for any change or replacement and prohibiting any voice against him is better than other people who let u know whether they're doing good or bad and gives you freedom to replace them and protest against them.
