I came across this page and interestingly Nepal is richer than North Korea (a nuclear state), Nigeria (Olympic Football Champion), Kenya (World Safari Destination), Yemen (a gulf country)

Interesting. Of course, Nigeria has a deposit of oil sitting underneath, North Korea's GDP should be probably way higher than ours. Just does not make sense. So who is doing this "miracle"? The king is not, and 1/4 the people are overseas. It all probably depends who is talking!

Has somebody watched the movie named 'tears of sun', please tell me, we're having any better time than that movie from nigeria. The only good thing in Nepal is that the violence in our country is not based on races. But any sort of violence is bad.

Yea, we should really be proud of our poverty. That's what we've learned in nepal, we don't care what our situation is; but we ought to be richer than our neighbours - what a relief !.

Who says Nepal is richer just because the GDP is increasing???
GDP is a measure of "economic transations" and not "progress".
GDP of a country bascially says only one thing: how much money the people of the nation have spent in a given year! The more money the people spend the more the economy grows. Aba what is to be noted is that a lot is being spent for the peace keeping... natiocal security due to the internal war thats going on in the country and similarly a lot of money is being circulated for restoration of the damaged properties..lives.. and all that.. which is taken into account to derive the GDP. So the GDP is bound to increase under the circumstances that our country is under. GDP is strange :P I mean natural calamites.. war.. these factors increase the transation of goods and services which ofcourse increases the GDP. So i dont see anything to be happy about as far as the fact about our GDP being comparitively higher than other countries is concerned.
The bottom line is it bears only a vauge resemblace to the ecomomy that we are actually experiencing in Nepal right now.. kaso?? The reality about our countrys economy is sooo obvious to all of us ... let us not have the false impression about it just because of some comparisons made by wikipedia ..

Why some group of Nepalese people looks rich or Nepal looks OK?

Truly or in reality, If Nepalese return home from foreign countries or foreign countries deport all Nepalese in around the world.

We will face true disaster just in front of faces.

What will happen – too many people, not enough land, No enough food in market, too many people No job, too many desperate, too many crimes.

No one can handle it.

Let just close eyes and think what you really can do about it if it really happens.

You can handle it.

We have fake economy which is based on foreign employment.
