The message is because your CPU shuts down when trying to boot.
Try reinstalling XP.

What did you have before XP.

May be you dont have enough RAM..

Best of luck

KoolDude,
Is that your monitor shutting down or the PC itself?
According to what you've written, it seems like your PC's got heated !! It's summer.. boy!!! Pull the power cord out, check and see if you've got dust around the cooling fan. That's a major cause of the machine overheating.
If it's not the PC, and is just the monitor that's acting funky, go to the monitor setting and turn the power saving option off; hope you know how to get there via control panel, or right clicking the My Computer icon.

yup, damadol is right. basically u go to the "power option" icon in the control panel and change the time, in which you power shuts up. you can make it "never" as well.

As damadol says check through your power option property in the control panel or other option is right click mouse bottom then go to properties then screen saver , there might be power bottom , click that in power schemes turn off moniter put it after not less than 10 min and other two option such as turn off hard disks or system stand by put it never . may be this function wil help you .

Try booting it in the Safe Mode, press F8 b4 windows XP starts loading and select Safe Mode.

Try that, if it still craps out it might be some really bad with OS or some Hardware Problem.

"my pc shuts off and the message "Power saving enable and the monitor will shut down in a few seconds" ...."

Ok, so the PC does not shut off, it's just the monitor...!!!! Well, I'm sure you must have changed the settings through Control Panel by now. Reinstalling, Repairing, Rebooting in Safe Mode,.. No GOOD, coz' it's not a software failure. If your "Never turn off the Monitor" option doesn't work, then you've got to test the machine with a new monitor. Borrow someone's for a minute, or buy one --- New or Old, making sure that you can return it, if the monitor's not the issue. Else, you can keep that!

Also, is your VGA cable firmly attached on the serial port of the PC?? In other words, is the wire that connects the "CPU" and the "Screen" firmly inserted on the back of the "CPU"?

Hope you'd have your system up and running soon.
