Kanak Mani has been specific of the Maoist Weapons only. I donot believe that it is a fair way to look at things. The SPA wants maoists disarmed, they do not hold arms. The only entity that has been holding arms will be the NA. Should the SPA presume that the NA is going to be Nepalese army not RNA then they will be mistaken. The NA is Still RNA and the only one to hold arms will create a huge opportunity for the palace to regain the power. the NA is just RNA with a different name. I am surprised how SPA is so ignorant of the fact that it will not take a fraction of a second for NA to coup. These cheruwa and lobhi SPA leaders should know that they are the weakest. The NA can eliminate these corrupts any time. The Maoist is holding good demands to nutralize the NA, NA sound be held incapable of doing any kind of activities even if it wants to. SPA is acting stupid, they think they are in control, serious mistake. The lobhi SPAs are happy prolonging the compromise process as long as they get the sansad bhatta and ministerial post. They are clever enough because they never know the result in the next election. They may not be elected.

King cannot pull of another coup. That is a fact. He had the trust and opportunity from Nepalese people when he did so earlier. And he failed miserably. So at this point in time, with people being more aware of the King's capabilities or ineptness, and his bad relationship with India and international community, there is no way that they will allow him to take over or even if he does he won't last long. So disarming or not disarming NA is useless to even discuss about.
On the other hand, Maoists know that without arms they are nothing. They have only a limited number of supporters. Once they give up arms, they cannot compete with political leaders. So they are the main obstacle here. Once they give up arms and join mainstream politics, then we will see peace and will know if Maoists hold any grounds.

The Maoist claim to do everything for the people.

How are they working for the people when they have killed thousands of innocent people?

They will say few lives are necessary for the bigger cause, but how few is few? Couple of hundreds? thousands? millions?

Are Maoists really doing it for the people or for themselves? For their own personal selfish ideals?

NA army as you cliam is still RNA with name change ..if that so they should have pulled coup long time ago..the time has gone..now they just cannot!!!
