Hi all,

I would be grateful if anyone could give me some insight into the current success rate of getting h1B visa stamped in the US Consular office in KTM, Nepal, of course assuming that someone has got approval for h1B from the INS here.

I know the topic of h1B has been discussed many times in this forum, but I am sure this information could help many who might be trying to get the visa from Nepal. Besides situation keep changing in this world of visa issuance.

If anyone has encountered any problem recently while applying for it, in terms of lack of documentation or difficult/tricky questions in the interview, could you be so kind enough to share it with us...if it is too personal you could call me directly too! Beside the INS approval letter and offer letter/proof of tax payment by the employer, is there anything that one should submit during the application of the H1B visa???

Thanks a lot in advance for your responses....

best,

I think H1 visa is the easiest visa. They will just ask which company you work for and what do you do there. One sentence answer for each is fine then you wait for the visa stamp. That's it. There is a part in the visa application where it asks how long do you intend to stay in the US, I answered undecided. You also have choice to immigrate to US if you want. There were few threads about this topic already in sajha. You can probably still find it just go ahead and do search for h1.

I got my H1 stampped in KTM this Jan.. it was very easy..
the lady who interviewed me was one of the hardest in the group as she was rejecting a lot of F1.. however.. she didnt even ask me word... I think H1 at kTM is just a easy shot..
GOOD Luck!

H1b visa is the easiest visa to get approved. When i went back about three years ago i didnt have any problem. They just looked at my approval letter and asked me where i worked. As for myfriends they asked what kind of work did she do thats all. But to be ont the safe side take the employment letter, if you have filed tax last year take that and your recent pay stubb.

Can anyone tell me how the I-797 looks like? Is it a small piece of paper attached to the new I-94? I believe, the employer doesn't give us anything beside that, right?
