*hands over a very well deserved glass of fresh cold 'nourishing' milk to merodeurali's BRAIN* :p sajhauser, bhai-tika ma the "tika" is received by both, the brothers and the sisters so i dont see any point in making it "bahini-tika". i mean whats there in a name?? and besides, we dont have to bow down to their feet so they can have the festival named after "them" :p

I think MeroDeurali needs a serious treatment of his brain/knowledge, a serious rehab or a strong meditation to do.

merodeurali !!!!!!!!! I think you need to be admitted to one of the worst mental hospital of nepal............ I think that might work you out to make you sensible.. enough to think about bhai tika even though I don't believe in god and haven't got bhai tika since several years.......... I know that you are a man wid a mindfreak ideology which makes ur think you are saying the right but that's the opposite to ur thinking........ so dude you need to be admitted to the mental hospital of nepal......... hey merodeurali you have ur sis ........ if you have then you'll know the relation between a brother and a sister.......... I guess you don't have ur sis.. so you are talkin' like a dog that got rabies............ good luck dude and have a nice journey to nepal to get admitted to a mental hospital...... don't go by gulf air...... coz it sucks...

A day to appreciate your brother.. A DOGMA? i, wholeheartedly disagree!! In the context of nepal, i guess nepal IS one of the places where you appreciate your siblings.. (and also perhaps some other countries) Eventhough the situation is NOT good, it still is a good thing to show appreciation. You might be depressed with the hopeless situation of nepal,, doesnt mean the tradions are a DOGMA! SerAh X0X0X

Deurali May be its a Dogma but who cares ..the reason and context of it is so pure. And it can be understood only by people who have brothers and sisters. There are many things we Nepali celebrate for the heck of it! Why do we celebrate both Baisakh 1 and January 1 New. That in my opinion is just a reason to booze and party. On the Contrary in Dashain we meet with our family and relatives ( It may not be a big deal for ppl staying in cities) but ahve you seen ppl overseas or ppl who flock back to their hometowns to be with their loved ones during this time? Also in Bhai Tika brothers save their hard earned money to give something that sister wants ( Yes it can be given at other times too.. but this day is a catalyst to remind that we need to take care of her wishes.!) If you donot want to beleive in something dont practise it . Our religion is great in that expect that it doesnot force you to do something you dont want. But donot preach!!

Merodeurali is trying to be an opn-minded liberal thinker. The sad part is, she/he fails miserably....first, get a brain...second, use it....third, engage your mouth/fingers. I was wondering why nepal is poor and has low life expectancy, but now merodeurali has answered those questiosn once and for all - it's all because of bhai tika. what an idiot!!!
