Why would someone bring 50 skulls from india to Nepal? any ideas?

BIRGUNJ, Dec 5 - Police have arrested two persons along with fifty human skulls and ten leg bones from new bus park of Birgunj Sub-Metropolitan city and initiated action against the smugglers.
Those arrested are Bir Bahadur Limbu, 24 of Telukot-2 and Tika Adhikari, 37 of Kheuda-7 from Taplejung district, according to District Police Office, Parsa.

Police had caught them while they were trying to go to Kathmandu by bus with the skulls.

They had brought the skulls from Patna, India.

Why would someone bring 50 skulls from india to nepal? I am just trying to figure out why anyone would do that

Probably to sell to medical colleges.

Or, maybe to make some souvenir item out of them and sell at high price. People, tourists, probably pay lot of money for weird stuff, especially if it is made from human skull.

Or, to sell to a drama company that is doing Shakespeare's Hamlet, "... to be or not to be..."

It is to sell to medical colleges.. I think people try to smuggle a lot of bones (even fresh corpse if they can) to sell them to Medical colleges..

I think it could be for business purpose too. Once you convert human bones into some ritual items, its easy to export for high $ value.
Look at this carved human skull Tibetan Kapala, which is selling for $3500 USD.

And this bone trumpet selling for $400 on ebay

dude for decorations of course prolly trying to make house of skulls or some shit like that

Why does some skull sell on ebay while some skull gets you arrested? That is so not fair.

so that it wound not coerce profitable bussiness of human bodies , that in future could be the cause of human slaughter.

you buy human skull and use it to decorate your house?? i don't think its really cool man...wonder.. if you invite someone to you house and they see the skull ...now i don't think they gonna say " oh wow! you got human skulls hanging there, thats so creative.." or "is that ashtray made out of human skull??? wow! i wanna get that too!!"
well.. but never know.. world is full of weird ppl.
