I wonder where the hell r all this so called 'La organizer'. Don't they even come and read comment in SAJA or what? After so much complains from players and fans, they should really think about changing their plan. Paying $450 registration fee + $Ave 400 airfare + $hotel + food = 60 min game is insane. Come on LA you can do better then this. Just make it a league and no complains. IT isn't too late either.

I m in LA but I can't help coz they don't listen. We tried and tried, All LA-11 team tried but no success. What can we do. Sorry guys.

I have checked soccer field, here is the field. Donot count Top Left, ElCamino college won't allow to use that field.

Can anybody send this thread to this Moran LA sports organizor?May be, it will enlighteen them.

What about the time constraints? I heard they already signed the contract for a fixed number of hours for 2 days and would be unable to change the schedule. C'mon fellas, this ain't like playing in a public park where we could just play however long we like.

My suggestion: We could have a league if they made the event spread out over 3 days (friday-Sunday) rather than just Sat and Sun. A league fixture in 2 days (4 matches for the finalists!!) is irrational and would defnitely get a thumbs down from moi...this would really suck for the teams that get to the finals. Even pros don't have that kinda stamina. Be real fellas...Ask for a league tourney but also ask for 3 days instead.

same player have to play 3 game in a day r u out of your mind??? . they don't have any clue about sports. they probably don't know how much tired we get playing 1 game. this is horrible.

Samsar u have a good pt ..but its organizer job to make filed avialabel all day .........2 day should be enough for 4 game for one team (finalist)....two game per day is not bad ..1st round and semifinal can be 30min half.......key is they need to have ground for all day not just for few hrs.

What can we do here to resolve issue? Every year at ANA sports should be one of the top criteria of the organizing committee. There should be certain standard and accountability for coordinating sports at ANA. Maybe the sports organizers should get together with respective Captains couple of months prior to ANA and discuss how games should be played out. In this age, communication should not be a problem at all and yet we seem to going through that every year. I just hope that organizing Sports at ANA does improve in time and complaints are heard and acted upon.

Well it is difficult to have a league system when there are only two days for tournaments.
But,
Everyone is traveling from far away and paying good money $450.00 just for soccer registration. At least the tournament should be organized professionally and the field must be a decent soccer field.

And at least they can make each game last 45min each, instead of 30 min.

Yea they better organize is good. LA organizers are the rookies--- None of these organizers have experience in Organizing sports events in this scale. Last time LA play againsts NY in AZ -- how many goals??? I stop counting in middle-- it was like NYNYC scored 20 goals-Nil or something like that.

Best organized futbol game was last year at Jersey. Field was awesome -- NJIT state of the Art stadium with true green grass. NYNYC organizers did a great job organizing football. LA committee should have contacted them for feedbacks -- all these organizer seems like never participated at ANA sports in past.

The soccer team registration fee that they collected this year was too high ($450.00) for two days tournaments. We paid $400.00 last year but that was three days tournaments and field was the state of art.

I still don't know how the field is looks like at LA and so far have not heard good things about it.

Despite the $450.00 fee, they need to rent field for only 2 days.

why only five minutes break???? because the field has been rented for a few hours a day only????????

now i can see the tournaments has been designed to finish in total of 12 hours (rented with college). Thus no chance for league and no chance for more than 5 minutes break.

I heard they only rent for 13 hours in total (for 2 days).......thats a joke .......???

Let me understand the problem clearly. Some of you are saying that you'll be too tired after two games and some are saying the play time is not enough?
Keep in mind that sports is not only attraction for the convention but it is only a part of it. I know that the organizing guys are working really hard to make is the best experience for everyone. The sports management might have been better in some of the past conventions before, but rest of the program sucked big time. The 5000+ people that they are expecting this year is not only because of the sports. If you guys are too good for the ANA, why don't you start a new convention every year just for sports. include as much sports as you can and make it in another long weekend. That'll be fun and count me in.
I am not trying to do a devil's advocate here. I am neither from LA nor an organizer. But the one thing that always bugs me about the garkhali mentality is that we can't sit there without making any comments. Mind you ,you can't make EVERYBODY happy.
Has anybody even seen the flied yet? remember? QUALITY vs QUANTITY ? I'd rather play 30 mins in LA than 45 minutes in Scottsdale's hot weather.
common guys, for any good team, 30 minutes is more than enough to show talent.
On the other hand, The sports commettee should listen to the voice of other teams. This thread should have been started two months ago and ended a month ago after collecting all feedbacks.
Anyways, I am excited about this year's ANA. You are spending $400 for airfare+hotel+ other fees for sports but I am paying this for nothing and yet not making any comments about it.
