Just wondering even in most secular countries ,There is no state holidays for ethnic and all religious festival. Is it outcome of lazy mentality? Now by giving holidays all the problems are solved.I recommend we have 365 days of holidays in Nepal .No work ,No Politics ..No Problem.

Stupid decision of the government!! I am sure some other minor indigineous communities will come up with strike demanding the national holidays for their own festivals. What a bullshit decision government has taken. I don't think this is any kind of solution but afraid that it is creation of another problem.

As we live in the country which is very rich in the culture and customs, so I guess there is no harm in giving the holiday. It is the other way of thinking that people get less hour for work. Definately, it is good to hear that people of any community has some kind of holiday in short period of time.

Holidays should be community specific. Like for example, if you're from
the Tibetian/Gurung community, you can be excused for Lhosar, but not
the others. This way we could give people from different communities a
chance to celebrate, while work would get done at the office as well.
Do we agree here?
