Hello friends,
Is it too difficult for international students in Oklahoma to work? Is it possible to pay $15000 per year? I don't have a very good credit history ( just began). And chances for scholarships are low. Please, share your views...

basically the state has recently has approved very strict rules. that will not allow the students work freely as the students used to do in past. this has made the working international students life very miserable. and if you dont have and fund or scholorship, its not possible to pay $15000/year. even if you work very hard, then it will be very very difficult to pay your tution fee. Infact, in which college are you in OU or OSU?? so good luck...

If you have the wherewithall to pay $15K per year, I am sure you can find decent universities in other places outside of Oklahoma, such as Minnesota or even neighboring Texas.

Friends,
I haven't decided yet, but submitted my application for Fall. I will hear from them next week or so. Is it that hard to work around? Some people I know moved out of Oklahoma.
I am interested in Chemical Engineering and want to get admission in University of Oklahoma's Dual degree program. I didn't find other schools around here. Do you guys know any other schools (which give scholarship to international transfer undergraduate student and have Chemical Engineering)? Are any of you chemical engineering major? Is it possible to go other cities to work in the vacation and study in OU?
Please write your suggestion.

Dude,           If u wanna pursue ur career in Chemical engineering,I would highly recommend u to join University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. It is one of the best universities for chemical engineering and recently it has adapted a scheme for international students where international students need to pay only $14000(actually the tution is around $22000 but this year they have reduced for international students). So,dude spending $15000 in University of Oklahoma and University Of Minnesota-twin cities makes a huge difference. If u can,try to manage to make funds and go to that university. Its a great chance for the folks who dream to be a chemical engineer........for more information u can visit its webpage and also don't forget to visit usnews.com to see the ranking of that university.............hope u will make a wise decision.......Goodluck!!

i think its very very difficult ot get scholorship for undergraduate students. if u really seeking for scholorship stuffs like in undergrad, why dont u try in Arkansas.i think they have chemical engineering and its really easy to get scholorship out there.

good luck dude

US News and World Report annually publishes university ranking by discipline.  I am sure there are other reports that will answer your question with some gravitas.  If I were to spend time, money and effort into something as serious as education, graduate or undergraduate, I would do extensive research first on which program to join.
