Can i register in the middle? I mean at this time if the class starts from March??and can i drop any subject??and yes if i dropped then also i will have 12 credits.

Yes, if a class STARTS from the middle of a semester, then you can register for it. You can drop a class before/on the drop date, which is usually the day before spring break. Looks like you have the required number of
credits to remain in status regardless so no need to worry I guess. Goodluck!!

what do u mean...be specific. if u'll still have 12 credits after u drop the class u r fine. if u check the syllabus it will tell u the date till when u can drop the class.

i have 14 credits now. i want to drop a subject and add another because it is very tough and i m concerned about my grades. i dont want to get b or c so if i add another it will be 16 and i want to drop a 4 credit one.so it will be 12. but when i try to register it says that i m not ellligble to add or drop.

This can be different in different schools. So, go to the registrar's office at your school and talk to them. It might be already too late to drop a course which started about a month back but still you should be able to do it. The only thing is that its likely it will appear in your transcript as "dropped".
On the other hand, you should be able to register for your classes which start in March. But again, the best thing is to talk to the people at your registrar's office. This is not a question about H1B or F1 which are general. This is specific to your school and you have to address it through right channels. But, as long as you have 12 credits in a semester, you should be fine with the status thing.

First of all when is ur sem starting. has it been already started or will it start from march?

if it has already been started like in jan ... than u can only drop the class but can not add the class. if u drop the class than u will have 10 credit as u mention earlier tht u have 14 credit rite now... u can go to international office and talk with international advisor about why u cannot take 14 credit right now.

if ur class is starting from march than u surly can drop or add the class before the class start. if it says u r not elligble than there might be a reason. like the class one u want to take need pre requisist or special permission from the head of the dept or the prof who teaches it.

Ya u can drop the 4 credit class and add the some easy class.... if ur sem is starting on march than u can surly drop the class
