The other day I was online and talking with a junior relative of mine in Nepal. As the CA Election result is still a hot cake we began to share view about it.

Though I was not astonished by the sudden Maoist victory this time, but had and still have doubt about how they will handle the nation.

During the short "chat" I found that Nepalese youth; which I am calling the Hip-Hop Generation are very much hopeful and are in blind support of Maoist.

As we are all free and are also free to carry-over any ideologies, isms or support a particular party, group of organization, I found that the blind support of the Hip-Hop Generation to Maoist is a basic and main cause of their victory this time.

"Now the New Nepal will be constructed!" he was flying in his dreamland and telling me that how our country will become a Developed nation in a short period.

As it was not possible for me to drag him up to the thinking level of mine, I just joked and asked " well … tell me where it will be constructed?" , I just gave him an example of New Baneshwar and Old Baneshwar and asked him in which empty land the so called "New Nepal" is being built. "No Big bro!… you don't understand… this is a completely a new concept!".

I told him that "Mao died in 9th. September 1976 and it is already more than half a century that his ism was introduced" and again asked him that how it is a new concept"

He became answer less… just to freshen his mood and give continuity, I threw another card " Yes like America purchased Alaska… we can also buy some land…"

He interrupted my lines with a big surprise "….What ???, Alaska was purchased by America? from whom???". I just laughed and asked him to search the net for detail. But his spirit and enthusiasm was in it's zenith " No Big bro!.., you will see …. our economic will boom in short period…"

I just asked him to get thorough and basic knowledge of Nepal's economic condition and reminded him that

  • Only 30% of Nepal’s population have easy access to all weather roads
  • Where, average annual rate of inflation is about 6%,
  • 24%of population lives below US$1 a day/income,
  • GDP per capita average annual growth rate is only 1.9%,
  • Population living below the national poverty line is about 42%,
  • There is only about 7,080 Km of Highway (I'd rather call it "Road'), 52 Km of railroad and only one international airport
  • And the scaring data of population growth is still above 2.4%.

I told him these are just few data's and static's, and our country's market is 'alive' hardly due to the "remittance" .

" No Big bro!, we'll make it…", he was still hopeful that, a magic will happen and everything will be changed. It was clear enough for me that he only had dreams and 'goals' without any means and practical methodology to achieve it.

It seemed to me that all The Hip-Hop Generations were never aware of these fundamental facts and are only flying high in the seventh sky thinking that what the leaders promise in election time will become reality with a magic stick.

I also do wish that Nepal will be transformed (I am using the term "transformation" because I understand that we can't built a 'New Nepal' as no more Alaska's are on sale now, where we can construct it) for betterment and whoever does this great work will be remembered in Nepalese history, without any prejudice of ism, ideology or doctrine, but I feel pity over these Hip-Hop Generation who only have wings to fly but no foot to walk in the ground.

So, how is this hip hop generation any different from the NON hip hop generation ? The only difference I see is that the NON hip hop generation are now old enough and educated enough to talk about stuff and already hopeless.

"The only difference I see is that the NON hip hop generation are now old enough and educated enough to talk about stuff and already hopeless." I agree.

It is better to be hopeful than to be hopeless. Having said that, false hope is even more dangerous than hopelessness. So, don't you agree that it is the duty of the so-called-enlightened-elderlies to advise these hopeful youths with workable ideas instead of laughing at their callowness?

Hip-hop generation Commie supporter hare? Ain't hip-hop the epitomy of all things being CAPITALISTIC??  Cristal on flutes, Bentleys with the 20" rims, 8 bed-room mansions for a single guy, grills on teeth that cost a gew Gs, $400 shades that are worn in the darkest of clubs BUT when it comes to cash, there ain't nothing in the Bank.  Sociologists (??) have termed this lifestyle as "nigger"-rich!  LOLs

BTW, your young hip-hop relative who supports the Maobadis should be sent packing there so he could stop being a poser.  What hypocrisy!  Living like a rock-star while wanting a slave's life for the others.

Finally, pls do not generalize without even knowing the term "hip-hop".  Better to keep you mouth shut than open it and prove to all that you are a fool, son!

But hold on.... why are we after this Acharya dude. So, all of you are disagreeing whatever he just wrote and said is wrong.

If you read properly he was telling all that stats to his younger cousin, who had no clue about that, he was advising him with stats like that how are we going to make new nepal????

I think we are bashing the poor soul for nothing. I think he is right. Where are you going to build new nepal?? while you are building new nepal where will you ask the people who already live there to stay temporarily (just a joke).

I am not saying it is bad to dream, only losers don't dream but any Sane Man with Ambitions will dream and regulary. I think what mistake Mr. Acharya did was, he didn't try to educate his sibling but ridicule his dreams, but still what he said is not wrong. He is right.

One thing I want to ask all the supports of the current situation in nepal. How are you going to build New Nepal. I want to see my blue prints. I am tired of hearing we will build a new nepal, New Neapl.

Please TELL me HOW????

Dreams without Action is like Aesops Tale of the girl who went to the market to sell her Eggs.

CHOR has an authentical baseline...less talk about the metafora ,unsatisfy results and phebe election. If the focus is on that for the rest of this year, its will be sheer waste of time....while the leadership transition in Nepal  must have been  done now aggregately to ensured  that the political-economy  is on a solid footing to lead the whole Nepal  in recapturing states lost to the Maoist revolution. In Sajha ~ an ample  motion discussions with  no confidence upon the victory contestant after all will be bad for the image from internationals especialy from the investors to bring in income currency and resourcefull capitals.Lack of unity, trust,  and coherent towards the new rulers is a dangerous trait to have because it blinds us to problems we need to confront in order to solve them. When countries deny that they even had a problem, or when, if they had a problem, it was not big enough to warrant serious attention, then national responses have nowhere to begin..
Indeed many among of the anti-commies  that have some of the worst epidemics today started off being in denial, and then had to face facts once they became literally “in their faces”.hajur Sajha friends.......

I am not against New Nepal... it is good for all of us.

I am just asking how it is going to get done?? There must be some blueprint of it somewhere in the Maoist LockerRoom.

I just want to see it to believe it. All the leaders in nepal promised big things during election years and after they won, what did they do nothing. I am all for giving chace to every party to rule once, why not 18 yrs after the 1st democracy and we have stepped 50 yrs back. Let's give Mao's some chance too, but the main question is

WILL WE BE ABLE TO KICK THEM OUT, IF THEY ARE UNSUCCESSFUL????

That is the delima for people who dont' belive in Communism. I think as a Nepali Citizen I have every right to ask that question, and Like most Nepali citizen's everyone is scared to ask that question to the Maoist for the answer you would get wouldn't be a pleasent one, I like my fingers and my hand, get my point!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A joke

Gabber - Thaur gimme ur hand
Thakur - Nooooooooooo
Again,
Gabber - Thakur gimmer ur hand
Thakur - Nooooooooooo

Gabber is frustrated
Gabber - Why???
Thakur - How am I going to clean my ass after taking shit.

Maoists Transfer Nepalese Money from India to Switzerland

By Halshi Bash

I am a Swiss national and practice Buddhism. I have been to Lumbini, Nepal, the birth place of Siddharta Gautama and other places like Kathmandu, Pokhara, Lukla, Gorkha and several Himalayan regions, many times. I love Nepal the way Nepalese do.

The reason I have so much affection towards Nepal may be because my professor and mentor, the late Tony Hagen, renowned economist and very popular with Nepalese people, loveed Nepal more than his own country, Switzerland. He never tired of talking about Nepal.

Though I am a native of Zurich, the German speaking city of Switzerland, I am currently residing in Rue de Rhone (Rhone lane or avenue) of Geneva, the French speaking part of the Swiss confederation. I have been here three years because of my employment contract with the Swiss Bank, "Credit Suisse". All of Switzerland's major banks are located within walking distance.

It is the reason most of the employees of different banks come to a very popular eatery, "cafe de Geneve" to have their breakfast and lunch. At these times, we always try to outsmart our colleagues and friends of different banks by initiating a very hot or new item of talk. Swiss tradition is that whoever has a new or very hot topic is considered to be a smarter than the others. But the topic should be genuine and authentic. Anyone can lose his or her image for a whole lifetime if he or she tells an unreliable story. So, the Swiss people have a habit of speaking based on authenticity.

Very recently, we were all outsmarted by our friends at another bank. I was particularly shocked because the topic was related to Nepal, my dream country and by faith my mother country because Buddhism was born in Nepal.

The very hot item of talk was so shocking that if the people of Nepal listened to it, they would have a million watt electric shock. The leaders of the Maoist Party including ministers of the present Nepal Government, namely, Prachanda (Pushpa K. Dahal), Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, Krishna Mahara, Hishila Yami and others were here to transfer a huge amount of money from Indian Banks to major Swiss Banks. The amount of that money is even more shocking because it is in the hundreds of million Euros. If the people of Nepal ask the Swiss Government, it can influence the Swiss Banks for the disclosure of the amounts and the account holders.

For my part, as a person having deep affection towards Nepal, I will do my best to find things in details but the Nepali people should understand my limitations as an Assistant Manager. The Nepali people should ask the Swiss Government to freeze the money as soon as possible otherwise the Swiss politicians could be bribed by the Banks to keep the Bank's secrecy.

It has also been said that some European Union members are helping the Maoists to transfer money to Swiss Banks. Why are the capitalist western countries helping extremist radical Maoists is beyond my understanding which could be a good subject of research for the people of Nepal.

I heard and read this somewhere about maybe 2 yrs ago.

Also wasn't it on the news that Prachanda was being funded by our presetnt King Gyanendra. Everyone used to say that, but when he became king, everyone just shut up and said other things. If this is true, I am wondering is this proverb true... "bite the hand that feeds you" or is Prachanda just playing with nepali's like a cat plays with a mouse and he yap's about how the King is bad and calls him later on says "maharaj I think I am saying the right things right???? and the king goes ... Good job Chairman... You can go to switzerland now and deposit the money  you collected from nepali banks". "Once I go overseas' you can come visit me and we can hang around and share the loot"
