I am on OPT and have got H1B approval for this year through a consulting company. But I have also got an offer for a full time job in some other company. If I want to leave this consulting company right now and go for the full-time job, what will be the procedures and complications if any? Your input will be greatly appreciated.

from whatever i have heard so far, u need to have at least two pay stubs for H1 transfer , so if the consulting company will let u go, then u can do that way,

but i dont think that it will be that easy,

another option is corp to corp transfer i guess, its a contract , so if the company u got a job in is ready to accept u in corp to corp contract, then u can work for them till u have enough pay stubs for a H1 transfer later on,

i may be wrong, but i m with a consultancy too, so, thats what i have learned so far,

may be other will provide some meaningful inputs,

Can you please make me clear about "at least two pay stubs" !!!

 

As far as i know yu will have to wait atleast till october when the H1b becomes effective before it could be transferred. The only other way is to apply for new H1b with this new employer which is kind of late for now.
