Currently , iam enrolled in a community college in texas. However , i've planned to transfer to a 4 yr university. So my question is, how do i apply for student loan.? Is it possible to get student loan for a international student?
The thing that is striking me is ..i already have credit cards from "bank of america" and "citi bank" ...which shows that, iam permanent residence of this country(but iam not). SO will this factor would be a problem for me? I am hoping that there are some loop holes for this....
any help will be highly appreciated...
thankyou

is your co-signer ready to take your responsibility.. coz most of them don't want to.. ani recently i had one friend from asia but not nepali.. he got the loan but he had to give his passport as collateral..... which is of course a dumbest thing you do in the world.,.. but somehow he got it from some sort of credit union..

if your co-signer trusts you ( coz he has to pay the loan if u don't pay), then apply for Citi bank student loan. Very smooth and fast processing, and you can defer the payments till graduation. decent interest rate.

i understand ...my co-signer is my own family memb. But the thing iam worried about is , when i applied for CC from "CITI BANK" , I checked as PR(which i have to). SO when they run my SS#, they will see i have thier CC as a PR> so will that be a problem? does anyone have been through similar experience????
