I don't know who the most educated or most talented singers are back home.  But I like listening to Deepak Bajracharya's works.  I guess Raju Lama is also pretty good.

I don't think anybody has talked about degree. The thread is about smart and talented artists in Nepal.

Anyway, Nepalese artists have lack of education whether they are from movie, TV, singing, play compare to another countries.

I watched Wai Wai Quiz, the host Rajesh Hamal has been doing good job, I bet very few Nepalese artist from any field can do such show.

A singer's job= Singing, not giving an IQ test.

Painter's job= To Paint.

Musician's job= To play music.

Sculptor's job= To sculpt.

Its like talking about Apples and Oranges. Most of the world renowned ARTISTS in the world were not the smartest people, or held the higest degree but were the best in their feild of ART. So to even ask this question is asinine.

let it be any field education adds a lot to the art.

the quality of the lyrics and the music certainly varies between an educated and an uneducated one.

getting a phd degree for an artist may not be a must. Getting a phd that to in the same field you are devoted in is a great deal. and you should learn to salute those people who has gained something due to their hard work.

Maha jodi are one of the talents..proud nepali ...and i've met them in few occasion they are highly intellectual too..
so my vote goes to Rajesh Hamal n MAHA JODI...

Definetly,Lochan Rijal may be the most educated but he is not the most talented singer in Nepali music arena..............................he hasn't proved yet still a long way to go!!!
      I wud rather go for Rajesh Hamal..

i think u are not much into nepali music. nepal has already won major music awards in nepal. he was the one to create history by winning 4 music award in different category the same year. i dont doubt rajesh hamal is a best actor but lochan can be regarded the most talented and educated singer, song writer and music composer.

Except that place, There are really talented peoples in most of the fields..
