Flying to Nepal can be challenging. Many flights into Nepal go through India with a change of aircraft, and India is no longer permitting non-residents to enter the country with an pet. When you plan your route, be sure and avoid India if at all possible.
There is NO import permit issued by the Govt. of Nepal for dogs & Cats.
Owners can transport up to 2 dogs or cats.
Nepal has no quarantine requirements, but Customs does require:
Vaccinations:
Up to date vaccinations
(No earlier than 30 days and no more than 12 months before entry) against Rabies, DHLPP.
Health Certificate:
You need a veterinary certificate indicating that the animals are clinically healthy and must be issued by the veterinarian within 10 days of flight
If your dog looks sick upon arrival, they may further call for a vet to confirm if everything is alright at your expense.
The problem is mainly not about getting your fur friend to Nepal, it's actual a difficult problem taking back with you from Nepal esp Australia.
