I am a green card holder in the US wants to marry a girl who was an F-1 and now out of status for a year. She is still here in the US. Can I marry her and stay in the US together? Or, what laws exist regarding this situation?

Anyway, to the point, talk to a lawyer who knows the real procedure. I know that she will be out of status until you get your citizenship then it can sort out easily.

You can stay with illegal wife until she commits a crime. No one will ask your status until you go and find a legal job.

 

 

 

I knew a guy who was illegal or out of status for about five years.  He got his green card within a year of marrying an American girl.  It was about two years ago so don't know how things are now.

As far as I know, she would be deported if ICE catches her even though she is married to you and you are a PR. She only be safe when you become US citizen and file I 130 for her.

If she gets deported (god forbid) she won’t be eligible to enter US before10 yrs even if you become US citizen. So it’s kinda risky. She has be to very cautious until you become citizen and file I 130.

from what i know, you can marry her and she will get all her paper. The only difficulty she will  face will be the interview, which she has to take it back home in nepal. It will be another 3-4 years before they will ask her to go back in nepal for interview and that will be within a  period of 180 days for her interview. make sure you guys file tax together and have bills together and a joint bank account. If she dont have ssn number then yu can ask for Itin# to file the tax together. good luck buddy for you and your girl friend.

I do not know the laws of US. But what happens if the girl go back to Nepal, you get married in Nepal and call her to US on dependent visa?

If u wanna marry her coz u love her than it's ur problem dude..but if u r trying to help her to get into a legal status than u having a green card makes no difference. Just wait or make her wait until u become a citizen.
