hey man, listen, cow or goat or fish or buffalo also have life like u do....they have families, they breathe same oxygen like we do, they are animals like we are ....then i would think once...i mean before eating...but if some body got religious sh*t saying you can eat goat, buffalo, fish , pig, anything but not cow, that ez not fair....i mean u can kill goat or chicken but not cow, what the heck ez that

cow gives milk = chicken gives egg

For those who eat beef, I just have one request. Please don't go to any hindu temple or  celebrate Laxmi Puja. . Because it does not seem right, if you act hypocrite by going to temple one day and eat beef the other. If you go to temple than please don't commit  the cardinal sin of eating beef because it does affect the sanctity of the holy temple where many other devotee come.  You can only go to temple if you have repent for your mistake and give up eating beef completely. God is not ungrateful.

there is a  logic behind we hindus not eating beef.. and i see no one smart enough to point that out....It could be religious..but it doesnt have to be!!!! this is what mt granny told me..upon my query..why we dont eat cow... she was a very wise woman....i was a kid and her explanation was very simple and easy for me to comprehend and relate to...

When you were an infant, you sucked milk from your mother and that was your only source of food. when you grow older. you get your milk from cow. so cow is like your mother since you get your milk from cow.

and she asked  me... Would you kill and eat your mother??? i said no..

and she said, in the same way you dont eat cow.(your mother)..

simple yet..convincing..give it  a thought..it sounds logical...

cows in the ancient times were used for everything in hindu tradition..like milk..people used their Dungs as  burning fuel to cook foods..they produced OXes which were used for ploughing feilds and many other things... it would be very foolish to kill and eat such a useful animal...this could be one reason..But the religious explanation ..saying eating cow will rot you in hell is simply illogical and foolish.....

however it is a matter of personal choice..that someone can refrain from the temptation of eating beef or not..its a free world ...you can make a choice..cant force someone else to choose waht you chose..and mind you that..all nepalese are not hindus..not eating beef is a hindu tradition..so carrying this ethnocentric view and judging people on that basis would be wrong.. personally i try to avoid eating beef...its just a respect to my mother..(ama ley gai na kha bhannnu huncha)...tara i just love the smell of steak..and jump into it!!!

so I dont judge people by what they eat........I mean In Nepal Cow is worshipped and kept in Homes like a family member, like a holy pet that brings holiness and wealth and God in the respective homes. I cant imagin someone slaughter Cow In NEpal..THAT IS SIMPLY WRONG AND OFFENSIVE TO OUR CULTURE, cows can be seen everywhere......in streets, fields, roads, houses etc. People in Nepal Love and worship Cows and have almost a daily interaction with a cow. The Idea of killing a cow and consuming it as food is unthinkable in NEPAL.

Now in Other countries....cows were as important as is in Nepal. Take for example many African countries, a mans wealth is measured by the number of cows they own, they use their cows for marriages, gifts, ransom and even debth payment when some one is killed. They drink their milk, some even blood, make leather goods, food, and even their bones......A complete use of a cows potential.....NOW should Nepal go all around the world saying stop eating the cow??? Yes its understandable why some of you are upset that Nepalese around the world eats beef.........BUT YOU GUYS DONT....keep it up...no one is challenging your belief.......No one here is forcing you to eat Beef in NEPAL. So dont force your belief and throw the guilt card here.................live and let live....I respect your sentiments.........respect others too.

Hey People, Whats going on here?? As far as I can see in the thread , We all are Nepali and doesnt matter whether its poor or whatever the shit going on in Nepal, we all love our country and worried about Nepal. We should not fight whether we are here in USA or in Nepal.

But I want to make clear to those people who are in Nepal, We (with very rare exceptions) love Nepal and Nepali People more than those who lives there and thats the fact. I know its the story of all the people who are living outside of their country it doesnt only applicable to Nepaleese only. Now forget this lets go the main topic, about eating beef or not?? whether its good or not?? I wrote in da very beginning also It really doesnt matter whether you do or not..Its just f*c*ing personal choice, you guys should not fight on this.

I personally dont eat but I dont force people not to eat or I wont say I am pure Nepali and I love Nepal the most only because I dont eat beef, thats FU*KING wrong those who think you guys love the Nepal most coz you dont eat. If you guys are talking about religion, Hidusim, Then noone is really following Truely as it says, Not eating meat only doesnt mean you are following the relgion, As far as I know it says dont eat meat, it doesnt say dont eat beef, I am pure brahmin but I think Hidusim more as a way of life than as a religion, We should not be like extremist no matter from any religion, if you guys think only muslims or christian or Hidu or ... are doing according to its written in their Holly Book then You are F**KING wrong, Noone in this world is following its truley.
