USCIS received I765 on Dec 18, 2008

No response till April

Called 800 no. to expedite process

Received RFE request (asked for recent photos) on April 13, 2009

RFE response received by USCIS on April 15, 2009

Soft LUD on 16^th and 20^th April, 2009

Visited local USCIS two times, no help

 

I changed my address myself on USCIS website (AR 11) and calling 800 no. as I moved after graduation. So I got RFE on my new address and sent RFE response myself    (actually I had applied through International Students Services). Since USCIS responded in my address, my school advisor says that now my case is out of her hands.  

 

No other response at all till now. No way to contact USCIS

 

Main problem is, my employer has been waiting for my EAD since last 20 days. I am about to miss this opportunity just because I don’t have my EAD which I should have got on Feb. No other job offer. Actually on interview as well because employer has to sponsor H1.

 

Please suggest me what I can do in this case.

Same condition here dude. I applied with all the documents but still they are asking for recent photographs, I 765 form (which I already submitted), I 94 copies etc. I don't know what is their intention. But they have given me the deadline though.

It might be one of the issues: either your photo is not proper size and color or more than 6 months old. Re-check your photo's size and less than 6 months.

If I were you, I'd call USCIS and plead that I could talk to a high ranking official. Just state your situation on the significance of the approval of the EAD card and you should be fine.

Also, try to submit a new application along with pics. Don't submit any application fees but DON'T forget to write a note with a header "URGENT". In the note, describe your situation. You won't lose anything by following these steps.
