Unbelievable insult - Statue of Lord Buddha as a shoe stand ?

June 25 , 2009 - How can the Swiss allow Lord Buddha statue to be
used at a stand for display of shoes? Lord Buddha is a God worshiped
the world over? Is it to be assumed that the Swiss are ignorant about
the high esteem in which people have placed Lord Buddha and worship
him? It seems a family from Patna went to Geneva, Switzerland for a
holiday. While shopping in one of the top-end shoe stores, they found
shoes hung from the neck of the statue of Lord Buddha. The 15-year girl
of the family captured the photo in her video cam, un-noticed, and the
family has informed the authorities in ministry of external affairs to
take further action.

You know one thing - even if Lord Buddha himself sees it, he won't react to it. That's thing we've to learn from Lord Buddha -  to be totally free from all nonsenses of this world. 

 

Buddha says the greatest joy in life is freedom, freedom from all prejudices, freedom from all scriptures, freedom from all concepts and ideologies, freedom from all desires, freedom from all possessiveness and jealousy, freedom from all hatred, anger, rage, lust ...  in short, freedom from everything, so that you are just a pure consciousness, unbounded, unlimited. That is the greatest joy and it is possible --  it is within everybody's grasp.

Guys...time to burn some tires in street of Kathmandu and organize some Nepal Bandha against Swiss ignorant.

i am shocked that this initiative was taken by indians and not by a nepali on whose land buddha was born....is there even not a single nepali in that place??... indians are taking advantage of these kinda incidents and claiming that buddha was born in india...we should do something rather than letting the indians do....indians should be following us in this headline not a nepali follow some freakin indian...

Do you think a Nepali would have taken a video...provided it to the media and to external affairs so that a proper course of action was taken....no...we would have burned tires in street of Kathmandu and destroyed our own property. Don't you remember what happend in case or Rhitik Roshan's kanda...we lost our 4 country men in police shooting....trying to do what??...trying to destroy the film print even when the theater had agreed to remove the movie for screening.....taking initiative of what now?? calling Nepal bandha??

Check the news nowdays, 80 % of the news is about banda and hadtaal. Recently I read that they called out banda coz of husband wife internal dispute. Have we lost our moral values? Or we cannot judge what is wrong and what is wright.
