Friends:

This email is to inform an unfortunate death of a fellow Nepali in South Eastern Pennsylvania, Mr. Ishwor Gandhari. Ishwor immigrated to the USA about 5 years ago on DV Visa. He was a resident of Montgomery County, PA and was working at Sultan Indian Restaurant at North Wales, PA. He did work at Aman Indian Restaurant as well.

He was in Nepal
around one and half year ago to marry a girl he liked (It was an
intercast love marriage). Since it was an intercast marriage and both
of their families didn't like the marriage, he had to leave his wife
all alone in a rented apartment in Kathmandu.
Now he has a 6 months god gifted son whom he never saw. All he wanted
was to get the US citizenship to sponsor and get united with his
family. In fact, he had already passed his citizenship test some 3
weeks ago and what remained was a 'sworn in'.

He last met with fellow Nepali friends was in a wedding party in
the evening of Sunday, July 5th 2009. He could not arrive to the party
on time as he had to serve in a party his restaurant had business with.
He came to the party at around 10:45
with his fellow Indian and Mexican worker. He met everyone (even
someone he didn't know before) personally giving everyone a
hug. Nothing was unusual except the fact that he left lasting
impression in everyone's mind who attended the party that evening.

As far as we know until now is that somebody saw his body lying in
the side of the apartment building and called 911. When police arrived
and inquired Ishwor's fellow, he immediately identified Ishwor and
informed Nepalese in Aman Indian Restaurant at around 8:30am next
morning. No one is allowed to see his body as police is completing
their formalities.

In the meantime, his family in Gorkha and his wife in Kathmandu are notified. Nabin jee from Aman Restaurant
is in constant contact with his family and hospital here. Currently
family is attempting to get VISA and come to claim the body and perform
rituals. We would like to help out his wife and son as well as creamate
him. Local community is working witht he hospital and Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home Inc as well.  Funeral date is not yet decided since there are lots of legal formalities to be completed.

We appeal you to donate whatever you can to assist Ishwor's family using paypal by clicking at Ishwor Gandhari Fund Please do not forget to mention Ishwor Gandhari Fund in the purpose of your donation.

Non Resident Nepalis National Coordinating
Council will be assisting for the fund raising and has committed
$250.00 for the cause. Obvious expenses includes about $2500.00 for the funeral. Remainder of the raised money will be given to his family for their travel to US for creation and for his kid and wife.
