AC's a great spot to go gambling (Vegas of the East Cost)...Shop online for hotels before going there as there are times when you can land a room at one of the 5 Stars for $30 per night. The AC Board-Walk is an awesome place to spend the day sunbathing and also visiting/shopping the various stalls around it (reminds me of Coney Island in NY). If you're into Casinos and are in the NY area, why not try Foxwoods? It's the biggest single casino in the world, has a small mini-mall, nice places to eat and party. And a lotta Asians are there every-time, so you'll feel right at home. However, if you really want, I suggest you visit Las Vegas. A few days ago I saw deals online for about $350 per person for 4 days with round-trip airfare from NYC (staying at the Wynn in Vegas...Damn!!). It doesn't get better than that dude!!

Go to Myrtle Beach, SC. Not too far from your place and it is a wonderful place to visit. Lots of interesting places to see and visit. I just came back from there.....

How about a road-trip around the Mid-west traversing through Montana (without the Tony ), South Dakota, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, Arizona and other states along the way? What you might find along the way: the bisons roaming the American Prairies, the Rocky Mountain National Park, Yellow Stone NP (Utah), Bears, Big Horns, the Grand Canyon, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Monument, Badlands etc but most of all, sheer ingenuity of Mother Nature.
