H1B visa (status) should be granted to only those who have graduated from US college. By implementing this rule, I am sure, Government can control the misuse of H1B by Indian IT guys with fake resume and fraud activities conducted by Indian consultanties. Do you agree on this?

The next thing you can say is H1b should only be granted to those who graduate US universities in FULL SCHOLARSHIPS. Then the next thing you can say is H1b should only be granted to those who graduate from TOP TIER UNIVERSITIES in Full Scholarships. Just because its suitable for you doesn't mean existing rules should be changed. If you know Indians are cheating, why don't you report them to the Goverment and help them implement the existing rules properly? The problem is not Indians. The problem is US goverment not wanting to put time into investigating who is the right candidate. The fact that they do lottery for H1b candidates proves that.

I agree with this because I have some examples that supports this statement. When I was in graduate school (IT) there were 14 Indians out of 20 in your group. Since those Indians graduated from here (US) they did not have much to fake in your resume. All these Indians are struggling to get/maintain their H1B. On the ther hand, when I joined my company there were many many Indians. None of those Indians gruaduated from US. All of them came to US through Indian Consultancies. Then I was shocked where all US graduate Indians went? This is just my observation. There is no offensive or negative target against Indian Tech guys.

Micky_Mouse,
Are you US graduate H1B holder looking for a job? You want to have a better shot at landing job by excluding all these non US graduates?

Mr. Power_Ranger Jee, Are you H1B holder without US degree? Are you offended by my thought? That is ONLY my thought. I may be completely wrong. Are you happy if someone grabbed your opportunity while you studied and struggled here but failed to get a job due to someonw who grabbed your opportunity. Again I may be completely wrong.

micky_mouse,
Yes, I AM H1B with a US degree looking for a job and I was NOT offended by your statement.
I was ok with sending jobs to China and India. I am also ok with H1Bs without US degree in the job market.
It's ok. I guess I don't have much to say here.

Power_Ranger, It seems to me that you have not felt pain and suffer everyone, who studied and struggled to maintain their status, is going through. I have seen many Nepalese and Indians (US graduates) have gone out of status and are working odd job ilegally due to unavailable of H1B. Many have cried and gone back to Nepal and India. Many fled to Canada.

In my Opinion US graduates should be allowed to apply for permanent residency directly. I don't get this quota system. What's the point? If you don't need high skilled people then stop issuing H1B and send everyone home. If you need them let these folks apply for residency period. Eventually most if not all H1B holders will get their residency (or at least that is what they want) that is why most are sticking around here after graduation. So why all this immigration nonsense. First find job get sponsor then again get sponsor to file for green card. If money is the issue just charge $5K upfront to directly apply for residency.
