When I open this website I sometime think this is only site for advertisement
It's hard to find any happenings and interesting (anything)
And it's so easy to find advertisement !!! It's everywhere !!!! ha ha

Don't you guys think the homepage is getting nasty ?
It's more like business place where adds are placed just to make
Money
I am loosing my intrest from SAJHA.COM

What do you guys think ?

i believe you don't know what is web hosting is about ..do you know how much it costs to host a website ?? Then better to delete this thread and talk something else .  Sajha is alive because of those money which they are earning ( not getting ) from those advertising . Nothing is free in this world ....Every website has motive to get more ads ...even Google does that broo ...soo be happy on what is sajha is doing for us ..like it helped you to know you new car VIN status ......

Sajha is nasty now a days .. When ever I open sajha at my workplace .. my workmates laugh at it and advise me to recommend this as a candidate of "worse website design"

San, It is OK to make money .. not a problem .. I know you are doing your best to make it look good .. But it is not working

get a help from a "Web designer" .. You can not simply put everything in one home page .. Organize it .. It looks awful now .. Sorry but that is the reality.

I don't care if its worth $111 or $1.7 Billion  (was that in Rs. Sexy?)

Adds are ok, until they are flashing with bright and random colors, plain annoying.

Someone has to come up with some competition for Sajha.

I showed Sajha.com to my American friend who has been to Kathmandu two years ago, when he saw the websites, he  kept laughing ...

You don't jump in to something if it doesn't do any good to you and the results are not in the favor for you. Sajha has helped many nepalese around US and around the world, that doesn't mean you should do the volunteer work for everyone and you get nothing.

by advertisement and making sajha like the advertisement page if admin makes some money then let it be. at the same time its doing the work that you want this site to do. "Solve your problems..".. So why complain????

Hey houstonguys and other well-wishers, I appreciate your honesty here. As with everything else in life, one comes to judge things with their own preconceived notions and prejudices and it is perfectly fine to express one's opinion in this open and free forum.



I agree that the site design may start looking better without the ads
but most ppl want to place their banners on the homepage and I don't
really see a point to turn them away as long as the main content is not
compromised and as long as the core content is being served without any
intrusive ads. Most free sites employ annoying pop up ads, pop under
ads, flying ads, etc which are very intrusive in nature which actually
need you to close those off to read the main content. The banners in sajha
only reflects the side effect of its success in reaching out and helping others in need.

In my opinion sajha is a sort of WYSIWYG kind of website. It is what it is. What you see is what you get here. It does not come with any inflated lofty goals except an attempt to provide a cyberspace for Nepali ganthan and to help each other out. It does not claim to be the top site or the best designed site. I do claim, however, that sajha has the best and brightest (and most helpful) Nepali visitors  than any other Nepali sites. Sajha is not popular because of its less than mediocre design, but because of the best and brightest who take timeout from their busy lives in this cyberspace as it represents part of their reality which most of them have left behind in Nepal or simply to complement their intellectual needs and curiosity in company of other best and brightest who happen to adorn these premises once in a while.

Obviously there is a fair share of every kind of visitors who come with their own share of preconceived notions and prejudices, but over all you can fairly say that sajha should be judged by its members and not its design of mediocrity.

If I had to make a judgment, I would say it's neither too good nor too bad. Hence, the yinyang icon for its bookmark!

I hope everyone can enjoy it for what it's worth.

At least Sajha is working to make money not like chors backhome... We the Nepalese people think that we are the simplest people, but we are the most complex people in this world... we can never take a Nepali doing good, making more money and name in a positive way... we like to pull the legs of our countrymen... time to grow up and support every Nepali and be proud of Nepali who is doing something in this competitive world... San good job.

Wow!!! No one came out and say, YES ITS POSSIBLE, SAJHA COULD WORTH 1.7 BILLION DOLLARS. Not even a single creative imagination opinion. Interesting.  

i'll post my view on sajha.com being more n more money-minded in a couple of weeks when someone else decides to start the same thread.
