I couldn't help noticing how most nepalis are quick to follow but decision makers are nowhere to be seen. Is it because of religion? The hundreds of years of shah/ rana rule? Is it because of the dominated gene pool?

Because everyone is so into following, there is a deficit of leaders. The greatest so called leader right now is prachanda, who has cleaned his hands clean of the blood of 15000 people. There must be something really wrong if he is the only leader in nepal.

I don't have the answers that's why I'm trying to figure it out.

You may be right that someone should know how to follow before being able to lead. But the problem is that nepalis haven't learned how to follow yet. They follow any leaders that run them off a cliff I would call that following blindly. So why don't nepalis learn to follow wisely so that as aristotle says they may become good leaders someday?

Sorry for late reply got tied up with school. Geda gudi you hit the nail on most parts but the Gross Happiness Product is nothing but consolation prize that you give yourself. There is no such thing as happiness index it's imaginary. You don't know how much people in villages suffer.
