Is this New Delhi's effort to control Nepal Army, in response to maoist's failed step to hold power of Nepal Army?? Shouldn't we be worried about this??

nepal army is like subsidiary of indian army. cadet should call his/her PTI as 'ustad', which is the same in indian army. nepal army r always equiped with standard rifles made obsolute in indian army and discarded, from Lee enfield rifle(.303 rifle) to FN FAL(SLR), sterling SMG. currently they r issued with INSAS with high dicount rate allowed by indian gov,  with few exception of M 16, GALIL, G 36, etc. many of the combat helmet, bullet proof jackets are not only similar to indian army but  has exact camaflouge and colour pattern. all the transport trucks are indian from TATA company, all the light utility vehicles are indian from maruti gypsy with few land rover and british armoured scout car called ferret and most of the APC and mine protected vehicles r indian . about half percent of its 11th brigade or air force has indian manufactured helis, like cheetah and dhruva. n most important of all we hav been recieving it all as military assistance either fully free or in highly subsidized rate. i hav a feeling that indian manufacturer were experimenting thier products in nepal, helpd thier R&D to test these products in real battle situation when we were in war since most of the manufacturers were new in this market.

so, bro without indian army's support nepal army just cant exist as modern army. n i believe theres a tradition of every nepalese army chief receiving the same title of indian army, so b proud rather, we r allies after all watever b the politicial intentions. if they take us over we hav to engage in guirella warfare, cant stand them a minute in conventional warfare.

sirupate_brigade,  "It is better to die than to live a coward"  who dares taking over us? dont ever try to play with the sea of fire. only british have a taste of gurkha's wrath so far hence, keep your pro-indian war mongering attitude with you. I dont like people with defeated mentality.

dont float in hollow pride brother, cum down to earth n face the reality about nepalese army n its relation with indian army that was all i was contemplating on. it is like subsidiary if indian army. the fighting spirit n wrath of gurkhas wil b put effectively even by the greatest strategist in guirella warfare should we succumb to indian military might in the case if invasion n  we will in conventional warfare. in truth we can b just a mujahadeen of afghan who resisted russians or talis at present who r resisting NATO and coaliation forces.

Excellent points sirupate_brigade. You hit it on the nail. Georgian_satellite, British Army and the U.S. Army are allies too and a certain partnership is formed in such a manner that the U.S. serves as a big brother. Of course, India takes advantages of us but at the same time, if you were to think rationally, India supplies assistance in various forms that has helped us progress and march forward.

Just so you know, I've got ties with Nepalese Army too. Nobody messes with Nepalese and Nepal Army but there really is no bonus point for showing any fake pride. If India were to drop 1 bomb in Kathmandu, we'd cease to exist.

Well , strategically Nepal Army is nothing but sheeps in a truck heading towards slaughter house. I would rather say so called "90000 strong army" has lost to 5000 Maoist already so yes you guys are right I may have hollow, fake pride interm of Nepal's military might but when it comes to protecting  dignity and integrity of our beautiful nation it is always nepali people who fight the invaders.

So, "pro-indian nepali defeated mentality and comments" can not hurt my pride of being brave Nepali.

Georgian_Satellite,

You're really starting to annoy me with your trashy senseless posts. 90,000 strong NA lost against 5,000 Terrorists? Says who? Sojho sajha gaunle lai human shield banayera battle field ma aune kayar Maobadi sanga Nepal army haryo re? This is news to me. Chahyo bhane Nepal army le timro Prachanda ra baburam matrai haina, sab neta haru lai bhutna sakcha. Rukma Katuwal had different ideas because he wanted to end all this in a peaceful manner. Aba kehi nabhayera ethnic states re chor haru ko.

Good to know that you're a "brave" Nepali too but please take all this pro-maoist sentiments off your head if you wish to have a decent conversation.

Jay Desh, Jay Naresh.

Dear Quagmire, I am extremely disappointed with the title you have given of "Maoist". I have never been insulted and harassed so badly for having my opinion on Nepal Army's defeated attitude and some Nepalis' pro-indian thoughts on Sajha. Rightly or wrongly you have tried to invade my personal terrotory and integrity which I believe is more than injustice.

Although, Nepal Army is not a political organization but having seen its involvement during maoist insurgency I personally believed that it would crush the rebels and bring peace to the country but my hope didnt last long and soon turned to a quagmire. If believing in better is wrong I might never know you would never to regret  to call "fake patriotism" to my nepaliness.

G_S, we'll just have to agree to disagree. Maoists in my book hold absolutely no stature in my personal books. These morons need to be crushed. These hypocritical idiots have caused great devastation to my beloved country and been the cause of killings and deaths of over 15,000 Nepalese. They will never be able to restore the lives of those who got killed. If the former COAS would've really wanted, he could've taken all matters into his own hand but he was too humble and modest for all that. He chose not to send the country into a path of uncertainty.

Compare that to these killers. Take a look at Prachanda, the leader of the mob! He's a pathetic hypocrite. My anger and frustration on these terrorists can't be contained and in many ways, cannot be expressed too. I really have no good wishes to these killers. And I for one certainly hope that should the terrorists continue their tantrums, someone, somewhere, stands up and starts gunning these hatyaras.
