because you resized rectangular image 1. first crop the image at square shape ( sth like 1500*1500 or 1200*1200 or x*x) 2. then resize it to 600*600

there is an option to unlock aspect size ratio.......then you can crop it on just one side to make it a perfect square and trim it down to your pixel size...I have found microsoft office manager is the best to work with.
