i am worried, my status is neither f1 (as it expired long time back) nor h1(as the case is stil pending), I am stuck with any govt. related work like renewing my license , my all documents are genuine, currently working as well...
i am thinking whether it is wise to withdraw h1 and file for CPT or keep waiting until i hear from USCIS...also i wanted to know if our sevis ever expires, how do i check whether my sevis expired or not...
please advice!

why dont you contact the school you attended and ask them to check your status? I m sure they have access to your records.

You can either contact USCIS/wait for USCIS to approve/deny your application and then in case its denied you can apply for COS (Change of Status) to F1 ... make sure your i94 is still valid.
Another option, and the safest, is to apply for F1 and drop your h1b.
You shoud consult a lawyer bro
