hey guys ...with the recent natural catastrophes all around the world...(snow storm in US / volcano in Japan / flooding and cyclone in Australia / Crisis in Egypt...and so on )...i'm without doubt believing that there is going to be a huge catastrophe in 2012. what you guys say ??

 hey guys, did you all know that its not just the Mayan calender that ends on 2012, but also the Vedic and Kalachakra (the time wheel in Buddhism), ends in 2012 ?

chasMiss you are right.
On a same note, how about I give you $100 dollar every day till 2011 Dec 31st and you give me all your properties here or back home; coz they aren't going to be useful post 2012?

chasMiss I don't believe Mayans have ever said that the end of their calendar cycle means end of the world. Some people have taken up on this ploy to their advantage and are waiting to make lot of money from individuals who blindly believe that the world is going to end. There were many attempts prior to this where people have linked up religious documentation to the end of civilization, I believe in 1994 in Nepal there was a huge deal made by some people that the so called "pralaya" would end the world and that it was predicted by a well known swami in India. I vagely remember this incident occuring around  the same time schumacher levi 9 colided with Jupiter. Well so much for that prediction.
