Should've thought about it before pursuing an expensive hobby.. ... Well QuickTime pro for $29.99 might do the trick, it will add native support for your windows.. :)

ok i have a very tricky idea...that has worked for me just Rename it..for eg if the clip name is (party.mov) click the movie file ,then right click and rename it by typing (party.avi)....so you must type the format name (.avi) then try importing it one more time if it dose not work write me back. usually avi is supported by most of the programs.

@click..it does not work dude...even if you rename like party.avi..the file will still be party.avi.mov. by doing so, you can just rename the file but cannot change the format. if you right click the file and see properties, it will still show as .mov file.

@click is there any special way of renaming? I downloaded .MOV to .AVI converter online but the video quality gets worse. really frustrating.

Haha.....Changing the extension won't change how the movie was compressed.. Sometimes some programs might open the file with changed extension because both of the format is readable by the program. Good luck

Dude like I said earlier download miksoft.net/products.htm and use this to convert from any format to WMV. Then Windows Movie maker will be able to open this format and edit.
I capture video from my Mobile and convert it to WMV format from miksoft and edit in Media Maker!!

how is the video quality of Canon EOS T2i, how is it in low light, just download premiere it will support everything. When you have bought such a nice camera why do you want to use movie maker, it is crap man...
