Hello Friends, I ve a friend who has submitted his change of status(F1 to H4) I-539 recently. He recently got married to his girlfriend in US who has H1.You know because of the circumstance he chooses to go for change of status. The question is, how safe is it for him to go to Nepal for H4 Visa interview as he has been living in US for more than 5 years (F1) and has never been to Nepal since then? Is there anyone who has done the h4 visa interview in kathmandu.

He, very much would want to go to canada and 've his visa thing taken care of but the irony is this poor guy received his I-797C three months back and is still waiting for USCIS to send his change of status approval letter. And we all know that the processing time usually takes longer than what they ve mentioned in their website.

Plz feel free to give us your views and suggestions regarding the subject matter. If anyone has gone through the same process then do share your experience with us. And please do not bash this thread with mean and unworthy comments and criticisms.. Thank you !
