Former Minister for Supplies and Sadbhwana Party (SP) chairman Rajendra Mahato Thursday said that the recent ruling of the Supreme Court to stop the induction of Madhesis into the Nepal Army is against Madhes and Madhesi people.
Addressing a programme in Janakpur, Mahato said the apex court gave a political decision. "The ruling goes against the four-point agreement [between the Maoists and Madhesi parties]," he added.
Mahato also said that the struggle of Madhesi people had now come to a final stage and warned that Madhesis would declare a blockade to stop all kinds of supplies to Kathmandu if the four-point agreement is not implemented.
The SC issuing an interim order asked the government not to implement is decision to start recruitment of 3000 youths from different communities in Terai.
