Don't know about it ,but in my view  it is done by US embassy ,it's better if you ask embassy once ,they should be able to tell you about this .u'vent mention why u need but i 'm sure they should be able to tell u .

There is no point going to the embassy here in kathmandu , they will do nothing for you instead prepare an application for fingerprinting and submit it to police headquarters in naxal. they will send you to lab at maharajgunj for biometrics, please remember to download the fingerprint sheet from the FBI website.
(i had used both the downloaded as well as Nepal police's biometrics sheet.) and send it to the FBI cjis division in the US. it took almost 7 months to get it back from the US.

 @ROLPA,
 I am trying to get my FBI criminal background done. And I am here in Canada. Were you in Nepal while applying? 7 months is a long time.I thought we could get in 2-3 months.
Could you kindly tell me what kind of information does those report have. I messed up my credit history (there might be some civil charges against me) while I was in the U.S. Now I am worried it might show up in the report too.
Thanks in Advance.

It is only criminal charges, specifically arrests. If you were ever arrested and fingerprinted it will have the information.

@dalbhat...
FBI clearance report only shows your arrest records. No need to worry if you were never arrested.

normally FBI clearance report is received within 2 months.  I have been told to follow the same procedure as everyone in US does. Thats why I am going  to police station here in maharajgunj today to get my finger print done. I'll take fingerprint card FD-258 with me. my question is On the fingerprint card it does ask CITIZENSHIP CTZ
YOUR NO. OCA
FBI NO. FBI

How do I feel these section on the form. Does anyone know?

Well if u r in Nepal then go to nepal police but if u r in other country (@ dalbhattarkali) go to your nearest police station and ask them to do the biometrics for you..
well like i said if you are in Nepal it definitely will take at-least 6 months to get the police report back. Even in the us it took my friend 4 months to get it back.
FBI clearance only shows your arrest records and nothing else.

@dipulata
I requested my police report when i came back to nepal and it was expired by couple of months when i submitted it to CHC ND, i believe if you have not reentered the US after getting the PC then its ok if not you have to get a new one.

@  Rolpa ,

Thanks a lot. I received my FBI clearance on february this year. I am returning USA on May. By that time my FBI report will just cross the 90 days period. This is why I am trying to make another request so that when I reach there atleast I have the new one if needed.  I am using it for PR application for canada.
will the CIC canada know that I was out of USA throughout this period and providing new FBI report will make no sense? any idea.

@dipulata
It seems to me that your PR processing center (visa office)is in the US, if you are sure that CHC is issuing the medical and PC along with PP on or before u reland in the US.
timeline has to be the most important factor. if you believe that you will receive the request within that before you leave for the US then it may be OK to submit the old FBI PC if not apply for the new one.
one more thing you have to submit your passport alongwith the police report so dont take chances.

it seems my case was different as i left the US and was residing here in nepal when i applied for FBI clearence (approx Aug 2010), and sent that very same PC to CHC ND on NOV 2011...
