With all due respect,
Quality is one of the most important things in films and videos.
The audiences omit Nepalese movies because of their low quality not because of their stories. Nepali Movies have great stories.
We have learned to compromise with the quality, which i think is the habit that we need to get rid of.
We should encourage filmmakers to make movies. But at the same time we should also teach ourselves to distinguish between good and bad quality.

 Yaha America aayera 2-4 barsa baseka nepali ko na nepali nai ramro na angreji nai. :) 
@mno "I don't know about the quality of the promo. But I do not see anything wrong in english speaking. Don't seem pakhe type english. They all have preety good accent." - they have pretty good nepali accent. We all are trying to lose our accents here, not gain it :)

bibekhere this is not a professional contest everyone is amateur. its fine for people to try out their hand at video. if you are pro why dont you submit your entry and stop bitching here.

I am not a pro.I am stil a student of filmmaking. Here is my first nepali movie that i submitted to several film festivals.It was not selected in any of those. I still have lot to learn.
and about "bitching"..That is not called "bitching"..That is called "slightly over the top constructive criticism"..

bibekhere maybe you took some video making classes or it is of personal interest to you but in today's world of youtube, how many videos in youtube do you think are professional? Probably less than 1% is my guess. So you cannot expect all videos in youtube to be professional quality just because you took some video classes.

ana promo contest is just another video contest and it does not require professional video submission so i think you are over reacting by making this about your personal interest

These ones are for the contest? Thought these were official promos....

In any case, there's nothing wrong with constructive criticism. Feedbacks are pretty essential and helpful, me thinks.

Bibekhere I just saw your video. I'm sorry to say it does not seem practical for a blind person to be able to do all those things he does in the video. Take it as a constructive criticism to make the story more practical.

LMAO promo for ANA, sounds like the ANA greedy pigs are looking to make these youngbloods work for free. what 's the incentive? please make a video asking where the $80K went from the past ANA and also make a video about accountability and honesty.

As i said earlier, You are entitled to your opinion.
If u can ask the people from ANA to pay me to make the promo, i' ll be glad to do that.
Any type of criticism coming from any where could be viewed as constructive.

 the promo (first one, didn't watch the second) needs improvement, for sure. what i hated the most was the echo-effect or whatever you call it. but again, these are made by people who probably don't know much about advertising and making videos. if it was made by ANA itself to promote upcoming convention, that would have been really shameful.
and to those smarta$ses complaining about accent and grammar: nobody is perfect; not even a native speaker. You didn't speak fluent English the moment your mom spit you out, did you? The point is, it takes time to improve English and some may never be able to do it. If you speak good English, good for you. But that doesn't mean you can humiliate not-so-good speakers in a public forum.

They all might be learning or so called "amatures" like u said,  but guess what they still tried and made a video... Guess what, ... being a pro, u should have made a promo urself.. u wd have had upperhand and,  have higher chances of winning this prize.. haina ra..... ani by the way.. everyone has to start somewhere.... ur comment saying they need to learn ABC of filmaking was a little to harsh.....ani jaha samma malai lagcha.....kehi garna lai phadnai parcha jasto lagdaina.. all u need is passion and will to do what u want....yes studies help to make your work better....

Ma tapai ko kura sanga agree gardachu. studies nai sabai kura hoina. passion paani ho. Thula thula director college gaka paani thiyenan.But, tapai le "hard work" bhanne kura bhanna birsinu bhayo jasto lagyo.Yo hard work bhanne kura chai mero bichar ma passion jattikai important ho.Maile mathi ko dui wata video ma hard work dekhina.
2 minutes ko video banaunu sajilo kaam hoina. Tyesko laagi paani dherai nai mehanaat garnu parcha. Hardwork and quality are unequivocally correlated.
Hamro duiwata clips banaune broharu le sayad passion le matrai banaunu bhayeko jasto lagyo--Repeating myself.
I admit that i was little too harsh with my words.But I will not take my words back. aba j bole bolihaale. Future ma yesto harsh huney chaina.

yep i forgot... HARD WORK is a must... no hard work.. no results at all.... at the same time passion bhayepachi hard work ta automatic huncha haina ra.. if i really want something then ill probably work my ass off to get whatever i want.. anyways.. u r right...all i was trying to say is that they might be amatures, and u being a film maker... u should encourage them and help them where they need to improve rather than just lowering their moral... by that i dont mean false praises.. what i mean is good constructive criticism... yes i know making a 30sec add might take weeks of preparation and postproduction... but thats totally different than what these people are trying to do here... so lets encourage them bhanna matra khojeko ho.......khasai kehi haina... i know quality matters....
