Nepalkochhora,

It sounds like a noble thing to do but the majority of Nepalese would rather celebrate a Bhanu Bhakta Jayanti every year but none of the Buddha Jayantis. Therefore somebody needs to start soliciting a petition to endorse Nepal as "The Land of Bhanu Bhakta Acharya and Janaki of Janakpur". As a matter of fact, because majority of Nepalis are Hindus in Nepal, it would be pretty reasonable to swap Ayodhya in India, the birth-place of Rama (a re-incarnation of Lord Vishnu) with a similar land-size in Nepal, say, area around Lumbini and Kapilvastu.

Then we can all proudly sign a new and rightful petition to promote Nepal as "The Land of Bhanu Bhakta Acharya, Motiram Bhatta, Lord Rama and Lordess Janaki (Sita)". I am not f*&^king with anyone here but there is some bitter truth in my observation.

I wish everyone here a very happy Bhanu Jayanti next week. In the mean time, Baanu Bakta would not be so happy in his grave to learn of so many Nepali bloggers using English instead of his much-touted Devnagari Nepali, his script of choice.

We don't need to waste time giving proof to the world That Buddha was born in Nepal. There is an archeological proof.
We have lot of forgotten heros like Arniko. Befor promoting buddha, we should better promote our countries rich history.

Nepal ko history kasailai taha cha?
Better use your time doing something for poor not for rich .

Americans cannot locate their home State in the USA map. Why they will be bothered on whether Buddha was born in Thailand or Nepal?
Lumbini ko revenue sabai Nepal lai nai aune ho kyare.

I can't believe that our country's history could be richer by ignoring BUDDHA. I don't believe there's anything richer than Buddha in our country's history. Yet, we ignored it and never ever gave importance to buddha, and now we're paying the price. India is building a parallel city by stealing Nepal's archaelogical materials from Lumbini. Nepal never wanted Buddha to come to limelight in the past, and ONLY cared to promote Nepal as a hindu state. Well, it's no more a hindu state, and others are claiming Buddha as their own.
