Skins have been my team for a while but I must say they really disappoint me year after year. With all those player/personnel moves and NFL high salary, the Skins cant still make it to the playoffs..and that streak might not end early..

Skins have had pretty good defense in last few years but offensive let down and not being able to compete against mediocre teams like Dallas( until last year they sucked) has cost them dearly. Now that Eagles have upgraded their offensive weapons and NY on the surge it will be extremly difficult to win that division but again anything can happen in NFL..

Reasons Why Skins will do good this year:

* Gibbs is back. He is a proven coach, which will help Skins play consistently every Sunday.

* Coles and Gardner look promising...add Morton to that mix you have offensive spark plug

* I think Ramsey should be the QB this year.....He is good but he got punished last yr cuz offensive line couldnt handle the rush..Still the mobility of Brunell might work with Skins..so I say..they will start with Brunell..

Reasons why Skins wont make it:

* The division is challenging and schedule looks tough

* First year back for Gibbs might not be the best one..maybe next year..maybe..

Teams to watch this year:

Broncos, Bengals and Ravens

Casey00, how could you analyze the Redskins prospects for the upcoming season without talking about their best player. Forget the QB, forget Gardner and Morton. If the Redskins go anywhere this year, it will almost exclusively be because of the inspirational performances of Clinton Portis. We here at the Mile-Hi city are excited for Champ Bailey, but Portis was Portis!

Save Earth:

Before Portis they had Davis who was a pretty decent RB. I believe POrtis is a young gun and will very likely be getting another 1200 yards this season but RB isnt my main concern. SKins have had good RB's in past and you know where they got to..My main concern is passing game..they havent had been able to do that in a while now...if passing game works to some degree..it will make running game easy and vice versa...so I am emphasizing on WR's and QB... but yes I think Denver got better deal ..with Bailey..he is super good CB.

Oops, I didn't realize that NFL season starts from this month. Before talking about anything else, winning streak (17 or 18) of the Patriots from last season yet to be broken.

I am waiting to see first preseason game with philly.

Go Pats....Go:)

I am not that great of a NFL guy. After Marino's retirement this game doesn't excite me anymore.

About the Broncos and RedSkins trade, I think Redskins got better deal. It's hard to get good and young running back like Clinton Portis. I never got to see Joe Gibbs coached before, I hear Joe Gibbs is fond of this guy and he will flourish in Gibbs system.
They got veteran qback in Brunell, good running back in Protis, good wide receivers and already solid defense. I hope they will come from the NFC.

I believe Last year champion PATS are the team to beat in the AFC.

Team to watch
AFC: Raiders, Colts, Chiefs
NFC: Lions, Falcons, Eagles

Still a FISH well wisher.

I think this year will be Falcons' to some extent. With new West Coast Style offense being implemented by the new coach and just think what Mike Vick will do if he do not have to run the ball like a RB and just pass it like a QB. And we all know that he can run the ball whenever he wants to. If everything goes according to plan , I won't be surprised to see falcons in the playoff scenario. GO Dirty Bird!!!
