I was in Canada for two weeks just a few weeks back ( in the Rockies) and I fell in love with the beauty of it. Did not have any problem or so and will definitely go back. I have found America bit rude and scary (New York). Please write more so we know what was your bad experience with Canada.

Except for stupid winter, I cannot complain too much about it. I lived in Canada for a few years. I guess European winters are pretty bad too. ypravas, tell us what turned you off in Canada.

I think ypravas lived in Canada as an immigrant (Permanent Resident) and during his one year stay could find the jon he thinks he is qualified for due to racisms and false promises the Canadians give to the educated foreigners applying for immigration. Ont he top of that Canadian $ 1 = 0.70 US $ and that may suck more.

Canada (politicians) runs a business .... earn billions of dollars every year as application and landing fee, from the poor people of poor countries. MULTIPLY 1500 DOLLARS BY 300,000 - that's the amount one has to pay to enter here. In addition to that, they earn 500 dollars from the ones whose application were rejected too - thousands in numbers. The saddest thing I saw was - foreign trained doctors, thousands, are working menial jobs - as cab drivers, janitors, security guards, and so one. Once I met a chinese who was a surgeon in China. We introduced each other and had conversation. I came to know about him he is still a surgeion here, but a surgeon of chickens - works as a labourer in a factory for chicken packing. Due to greediness of politicians, poorer countries have suffered a lot. i am ashmed to say CANADA has ruined the lives of thousands of great doctors, surgeon , engineers and talented people. There's no future here - only to live hand to mouth life. You will be called lucky if you get a survival job within six months of your arrival. I don't advise anybody to come to hell unless you want to experience what a hell is....

Correction : MULTIPLY 1500 DOLLARS BY 300,000 - that's the amount one has to pay to enter read as : MULTIPLY 1500 DOLLARS BY 300,000 - that's the amount the country earns for annual budget from immigration. Each individual ( single adult ) has to pay $1500 as application and landing fee.
