International community is at a very awkward position. If it supports King, then they would be basically supporting monarchy over democracy. If they do not support King's and stop the aid, maoist are going to take over. So given these circumstances, what do you think should be done?

I read from this website http://web.amnesty.org/library/index/engasa310012005 that human right violation has been peaking all the time under and from both the multiparty government system and maoist. Please remember guys, these are only reported cases, many more go unreported out of fear and mistrust.

I think there should be a strong International Human Right Organization established in Nepal to ensure that basic human rights are not abused. This organization be such that while determining whether to extend support in any form, this organization be consulted by all the international community and foreign countries. I believe this is the only way to have a hook on military impunity which is going to get worst now that it is again state of emergency with amended constitution.

What I believe international community doesnot understand when it demands multiparty system be reinstated is that it is never going to happen, and even if it does it is not going to do any good to country. Because then maoist will have an upper hand. When some one is dead, no one can bring it back to life, and to demand that it be brought to life seems like me asking for the moon. However, similar another life can be produced and that should be the cause that should keep us all going. So instead of demanding what seems to me like a lost battle, why not work with the King, and make sure he complies to basic human rights while battling with his own fellow citizen and make sure he gets done in 3 years as he promised.

Jaya Nepal.
