Simply, what's her job? I'd like to discuss about it since she didn't response me with respect regarding my concern. She almost hangs up the phone before I finished my questions.

I had a similar experience once where I was cut short but I called back immediately and demanded a better explanation for the problem I was having. I got transfered to some one in the passport section who was able to help me out. My advice: Be nice but push back, in a polite and steady way, if you feel you are not getting the help you deserve. (I suspect she handles too many calls in a given day and may be all worked up as a result)

Hi! There Those of you who have Advance Degree in Computer Engineering and Business management and work for an American Company get wonderful salaries, riding SUV living Millions dollars worth house definitely imagine what type service you should get from our poor country's Embassies. We don't look back when we had walk hours for getting High School? With bare food and Bhuteko Maik Khaltima Raker Chapaudai drinking Khola ra Kuwako Pani we also forgot what is our responsibilities what did we do to our motherland. Just came here began criticizing every body back home including yourself. What do you expect from that poor lady who has tremendous working responsibilities with meager salary less than 3 dollars per hours with no insurance. More than 20 years Local staffs have not seen their pay scale increased. On top of that there is no benefit at all to the locally hire employees. They are the one who support to the Diplomatic Dignitaries including an Ambassador. Another thing we never dare to talk about solving problem; we always talk how to create til lai Pahad. If so some one is rude and unprofessional at the Embassy, why don't we go and complain to the high authorities rather than crying as s Lute kukur at Sajha dot come. Let me Explain what is our telephone etiquette and manner, which will apply for both party caller and receiver: As follows 1 .Etiquette is in essence about proper conduct and presenting your self favorably, you must demonstrate good manner over the phone. 2 Good etiquette helps encourage clear lines of commutation build rapport and avoid misunderstandings. 3.Good business phone etiquette demands professionalism at all the time, when speaking to some one you do not know avoid informal speech, such as ko boleko han? Tyan Rajdoot chha? It is important asking caller name by the receiver, then you should not say Ma Boleko?

Birkhe the job of the people in the embassy is to get job done. If the caller is not good enough/ or very very chiplo voice they shouldnt act in that way. Next thing is if they dont have enough pay why the heck they work there, leave the place, search for better oppurtunity. But the activities and response in the Nepal Embassy is concerned for us since we are nepali and tht is the place to solve passport issue and they are working for nepali/nepal government.

Its really surprising to me to see when people defends inefficency. Get it people, if there is complains you gotta deal with it. You do not give excuses. There in the emabssay they are there to work, to perform duty. Thier objective should be customer service. this applys everwhere.

EXACTLY! If you work then work according to rules, if you don't like just don't work there. There are many people who will be willing to take the job. If money is the issues then go somewhere else where they pay you more. No one has forced you to work in a place where you don't like. Geezzz, be happy that people are giving you suggestions. They are not saying for them, your improvement in the embassy means a better reputation for you all and not for these people who got some complaints. WORK IS WORK...EVEN IF YOU WORK FOR FREE YOU STILL SHOULD DO THE BEST IF YOU CANT LEAVE IT! Sometimes these embassy people talk like as if they are forced to work there. The sad part is its every where the same. Can't anyone kick them all? The funny thing is once I complained about all these things to some workers in embassy and guess what they said, ambassador nai tesai hami le ke garni re. Damn pointing at each other is the only thing they can do. Will these people ever grow up?

You can't do whatever you do. You need to read instructions carefully and do accordlingly. May be you need a secrecraty of your own. ha ha.......

. Receptionist: Good Morning! This is Royal Nepalese Embassy. M.. speaking. May I help you. Client: Good Morning! I am ..K. What is your name again? Receptionist: M... Client: How old are you? Receptionist: Why do ask me this question? Client: Because I am still unmarried. Receptionist: Please tell me what you need from embassy? Client: Of course..You.. Receptionist: Please tell me if you need passport extension form or recognition letter or something else. Client: Your photo.. Receptionist: Call your father in Nepal to send a parcel with ex-wife? I guess I know who you are. You divorced your nepali wife in nepali to come to USA. You left her with three children backhome untreated. Client: Sorry I dialed wrong number... She is confronted with this kind of conversation everyday. No wonder why she is unfriendly. I know her problem. Actually People make her unfriendly. If you deal with such people everyday you cannot become friendly anymore like people working at Post offices: Can you please send this parcel same day express service to Kathmandu? Train staions: I forgot my luggage in a train to Sanfransisco two weeks ago, where can I pick it up now. Sorry I did not claim yet. Airhostess: Ca..n I g et s om e m or e w h iskey? with half closed eyes! Hospital nurses: Hey sister I need to go to toilet can you bring me toilet paper.. Concert counter: Hallo I just went outside because I forgot to switch off the lights in my car. May I go in now.(He tries to get into concerts with an used ticket found on floor) These people are dealing with such people everyday. I feel sorry that they have to be unfriendly even you are a honest person

I had the same problem but I think she has trouble with speaking or understanding the English language so she tries to make the call short. So I asked her if she spoke Nepali and after I started talking to her in Nepali she was helpful and transferd me to the right person. But In future refrence it's better to ask her to transfer u directly to Rai dai (i think) in passport department. Oh I almost forgot first time i called she transfered me to this guy (i don't know his name) who asked me endless questions like where i studied, where i worked, how long i had been here, were my parents here, was i maried etc..ect ... i was like man is this guy trying to propose to me??????at first i didn't want to be rude so i answered his questions politely but after a while i just had to tell him i had to go somewhere.
