Are there any Nepalis in Syracuse, NY? Syracuse University or the city? I may move there sometime this summer and would love to know if there are any fellow country(wo)men. Thanks

I think there are few Residents in SUNY Upstate Medical Univ. and I bet there should be some students at Syracuse Univ.

Yeah, me too!! 2 hours from Syracuse. eh!! But don't know it's the west/east ke ho... Well I am plain dumb, but when it comes to direction, i am a pure no brain. :D But mapquest said it's 2 hours drive.. :D verified the data with yahoo map too. Both matched.. :P Almost, but couldn't figure out the direction. :P Okay, NYC is down south.. That much I know. :P

There is a Nepali family in Syracuse University. I don't know exactly where they live, but husband works at the university.

In fact there are around 8-10 nepali docters in and around Syracuse, some doing residency some working as faculty. The medical director of Patan Hospital Nepal is a gye from Syracsue. You will have fun, Most of the doctors in Syracuse are from Teaching Hospital Maharajgung, I can not tell you there name here sathi. That's it lot's of clues thanks

Thanks Lato and Bengalitiger for the info. I have located a couple of graduate students at the university and now will find about the doctors you mention!! Good clues, of course. I also came to know about a guy who may join Syracuse as a faculty in the Fall. Thank you guys. I will have to decide this month. The other job I have is in LA which I love but it's just too crowded and too expensive to live there. Well, let's see!!!
