He respected their love, but never tried to take advantages from their innocence.....He had full control over all his senses and that's what made him a great person....

Who makes god god? I think we do. We define god, we accept or reject the definition, we follow or we dont. There have been many who have tried to define god. When someone asked Buddha what is truth/god he was quiet and just smiled, he did not say anything because there are things that cannot be described with the use of words as words fell short in describing it.

Krishna and Shakuni were the guys responsible for the Mahabharat. Shakuni believed in cheating and politics, Krishna believed in hard work, honesty and responsibility. Krishna of course was the greatest politician of the era.

Krishna did not have kids because one thing he was cursed by Gandhari so that he would die without offsprings, like herself at the end. Actually all kurus eventually were destroyed down the line.

Krishna had slaves but those slaves themselves accepted Krishna as their lord. In Hindu religion there is nobody as pervasive as Krishna. Krishna again was actually a human first, then God next.

.First of all, let me clarify that I am not religious. I come close to being an atheist, than a religious person. But I am somewhere in between. However, I have great respect for all the religions.

Now coming to the topic of Mr. Krishna being a pimp. I am surprised that you guys are surprised on our Hindu god being a pimp (or a playboy, whatever your definitions are).

This is one of the reasons why I love Hinduism.

Take a close look at other religions of the world. They are so obsessed with trying and considering that their gods are perfect, they have so much so become religious fanatics.

For example: tell a Christian soul that Jesus Christ was imperfect because he was a mere mortal, and they will look at you with cold stares and anger. Tell a Muslim soul that Mohammad was not a perfect man because he was a warrior and killed thousands of people, and he will declare a "fatwa" on your soul.

BUT, tell me (a Hindu) that Krishna was a pimp, and I will just laugh at you. So what? This is why Hinduism makes sense to me. Our gods were not perfect like the gods of Christians or Muslims or others. I cherish the fact that our gods are as imperfect as we, the normal human being, are.

Why stop at Krishna?

Lord Shiva is a dope-head. Show me any other religion where their major God is a dope-head.

Lord Brahma committed incest. He married his own daughter, Saraswati. Show me another religion where their major God commits incest. Hell, the Christians don't even admit that Jesus was married! Let alone harbor an idea that he could have committed incest.

Lord Vishnu (in the form of Krishna) was a flirt. He flirted with 1600 or 16000 (whatever number you want to give) women. Show me another religion where their God flirts with so many women.

Although I am close to being an atheist, I cannot separate myself from being a Hindu because my Gods are as fallible, as malleable, as humane and as real as I am.

So stop bashing, and complaining, and whining that our Gods are pimps, or playboys, or dope-heads, or incestuous. Be glad that they are as real as we are. Our gods are different from the god of other religions, and we should feel happy about it because this fact makes us different from those following other religion.

And these differences make us special.
