shane warne is a leg spin bowler for right handed bats man. lets imagine that rest of the players from other countries all are left handed batsman. so will he be still called as leg spinner? lets say:..batsman played a ball straight down to the bowler and bowler touches the ball and hit the stumps and the non striker is out of his crease. Now at the time when the ball hit the non striker stumps ....the batsman was hit wicket. In clousion the timing of the ball hitting the non striker stumps and the striker being hit wicket is the same. So in this case..who will be out?

THIS IS ANSWER TO KALE KRISHNA'S QUESTION... I was looking through some websites today, and one claimed that there once was a cricketer named ... hold your breath ... John Elicius Benedict Bernard Placid Quirk Carrington Dwyer. Is this true? Who was he? asked Anirudh Sankaran from India That really was his name, and he played for Sussex - usually appearing on scorecards (presumably for reasons of space!) as EB Dwyer - in the early 1900s, despite having been born in Australia. Christopher Lee's 1989 Sussex history From the Sea End reveals: "He inevitably had a somewhat exotic background. JEBBPQC Dwyer was a great-grandson of Michael Dwyer, a Wicklow chieftain who was described as one of the boldest leaders of the 1798 [Irish] insurrection and who was eventually captured and transported to Australia. It was there, in Sydney, that EB Dwyer was born in 1876. He was a tall, dark and handsome fellow with a ready humour, who bowled with a high right-arm action that produced lift and not a little turn. He was encouraged to come to England by Pelham Warner, and persuaded by CB Fry to play for Sussex. In 1906 his registration was approved, and he immediately proved his worth with 9 for 35 against Derbyshire and 9 for 44 against Middlesex." Sadly, Dwyer died in 1912, aged only 36. He seems to have admitted to more initials than anyone else who played first-class cricket in England - although he has some rivals in Sri Lanka, where I suspect Rajitha Amunugama might be the record-holder.

Mine is: Matthew Hayden Stephen Fleming Jacques Kallis Inzamam Ul-Haq Ricky Ponting (C) Kevin Pietersen Andrew Flintoff Adam Gilchrist (wk) Irfan Pathan Shane Warne Makhaya Ntini 12th Man- Muttiah Muralitharan Brian Lara is not performing, so he deserves no place. Pathan- solely because he serves as a genuine all rounder. Trescothick has been out for over 3 months, so including him is a little iffy, but there is no doubt he is a really good batsman. Hoggard- performing well, but a team can only have 11 players

I will take brian lara over kevin peterson or stephen fleming any day. He had wonderful last year with five hundreds and was second highest scorer for year 2005 only second to ricky ponting. He had one bad series in newzealand but that he still is much better than the lot. Just wait for the india-westindies test series to begin.

Ok, lets talk about the ENG-SL match...last day SL lead by 151 with 2 wickets left and 45 odd overs left. Can england pull off a victory? Bad light has stopped play...Looks like england is losing the grip.... My opinion: How can England expect to regain the Ashes with this kind of display? They are not going to win the mighty aussies with this bowling attack... What do you guys say?

Mahmood is not indian . He is anglopakistani by blood. It will take ages before india produces a genuine fast bowler.

Bidhan, If you are to consider past performances, you will have to include Sachin Tendulkar alsong with Brian Lara as well. Stephen Fleming's inclusion may be a little shaky, but you can find no one to replace Kevin Pietersen. I think it was his innings in the last Ashes test that gave England the Ashes after 2 decades. While the other Englishmen were crumbling under the pressure (esp. from Warne), Kevin Pietersen showed no sign of faltering. And then there is the hundred against India (or was it Pakistan?). Plus, the recent hundred against Sri Lanka. If there is one contemporary cricketer that you can compare to Viv Richards, Pietersen would have to be it.
