it will be the first all-european final four since 1982, what do you guys & gals think? that too on european soil.

most sajhaites i've seen were rooting for argentina, england or brazil. i must say i expected brazil to be in the final too. maybe i over rated. do you think the WC is still interesting? let me hear from you all. what we saw was the remarkable performance of france (they almost got knocked out in the group stage) and comeback of italy. portugal are the underdogs and germany like always do the unexpected (remember the last WC when they had a lousy team but still played the final). i don't think we can really say a lot about italy. they last played against ukraine - a rank new comer. i am expecting a final between GER & FRA. almost makes me think GER will take the cup.

Now that permutation for the final is being speculated, there are four possibilities:

1) Germany vs Portugal
2) France vs Germany
3) Italy vs France
4) Portugal vs Italy

I am going for the fourth one, 4) Portugal vs Italy
If that comes true, I will support Portugal in the final. Lets see what happens.

i want the cup to go to the new team -- the team which has never passed the semi-finals stage -- I want portugal to win this world cup --- it was good that the brazalian hegemony on football was dismantled today -- so was all over-rated high-flying english team brought back to grounds -- the only deserving team, Argentina are out -- I want now some new team to lift the glory -- Deco and constina will be back to take portual ahead of france to crush anyone on the finals

i am guessing germany due to the fact that they are playing on their soil. italy is definitely a good team but their lacklustre performance againts usa and win over ukraine somehow don't say enough about their skills. portugal - good goalie but not enough strikers. will they be able to take on france who defeated brazil? on the other hand, france did not perform very well in the group stage. that leaves only germany who has had the best record so far.

its soccer and anything can happen. i am just hoping the rest of the matches don't end up in penalty shootouts and there will be some thrills like there were in the france-brazil match today.
