a little out of topic but i think someone can help me here. In kathmandu, my brother has Subisu internet connection (Hi-speed cable). He has connected all 4 Pc's in our house thorugh LAN and one computer is working a s a server. I had sent 2 internet ready laptop with wireless receiver a month back. I suggested him that there should be a way to use those laptops for internet without wire connection. What exactly will i need in order to turn the laptops and the pc's wi-fi friendly? Will a wireless router (D-Link) work if i send? Help me please, internet baba's and maata's!

yes, a wireless router would solve your problem. But just be careful that most of the routers that you buy here run on 110V and not 220V (as is required for nepal), unless your brother has a step down transformer ready for it, it would be better for him to just buy it there instead of you sending it. ~nepalikochoro.

But some devices interoperate between 110V and 220V. So better look at the specifications. You might get a one that works on both systems..
