How long does it take to transfer H1B from Company A to Company B and how difficult or easy it is, Would love to hear details from someone who have done this recently.

One of my friend went on this process recently. According to him, the lawyer charge the same amount as when filing for New H1B i.e. $2000.00. According to him, lawyer said the process is exact as for filing new H1B.
Beside that it should not be much difficult. For time, you can check w/ process time on USCIS, though sometime real work is faster than what indicated on that site.
