IE7=IE6 in new clothes+reduced configurability. I switched back to IE6 cause IE7 wont allow me to watch video streams(those activex ones). Other than that I use firefox nice and so much configurable.

IE7 looks good with all the new layout. It has tabbed browsing as redstone mentioned. It has a new feature of filtering the Phising if you are onto the online banking and shopping. This version is not recommended by many including me. It slows down your surfing speed like nothing. A simple news website from nepal takes more than 14 seconds where as other browser Firefox and Opera or Netscape. Firefox is a good browser but there is a huge memory leak with the new one. If you google for fixing the cache size in the browser, it might help. Firefox.. good but not a huge fan. Phising feature was in firefox since long time ago thou.

What say you of Opera? Would you recommend Opera over Firefox? If so, why?

I was using IE7 in WindowsXP and as people have already mentioned it was nothing but a little bit fancier version of IE6 with tabbed browsing and kinda buggy as it seemed to have conflicts with the previous version of IE in my computer. But right now I am running Vista RC2 and as IE7 is the default browser, I am very much surprised by the smoothness of it. Granted, it looks like the browser which managed to copy few things from Firefox and other from Opera but it works good. Anti phising, parental control, popup blockers and the RSS feed reader are the new things here. Overall I have no problems with IE7.
