I am looking for answers to the following question. What I could not do here in US without having Nepal American Engineers Association? How will it change my life? How will it make sense to me when looking back to the current polarized condition of NEA? In the past, I proposed International Society of Nepali Engineers, but today, I feel this kind of society is only an emotional, and it makes no sense in upholding and enhancing my professional career in US. If I want to uphold and enhance my career here in US, I need to be competent here, through PE certification, and other engineering jobs, and participation in American Professional Societies, e.g. ASCE. By associating myself to Nepal, I feel that I am more confused person, who is looking excuses for my failure or inability to perform well here. I am having hard time to find Nepali Engineers having own independent consulting engineering firms of significant size to offer jobs to fellow Nepali Engineers in case they approach you. IF I don't have a competent job here, and enough free time, how am I going to help Nepal? It will end up like ANA Nepal where a few guys who control ANA gather new york's one apartment on week day, and secretly propose friends wife to executive position, and expect another friend's wife to propose you in the exe.com as a compliment, and decided the exe.com when the national convention is just a couple of days or weeks away. It is not only the problem with ANA, if you go and look at majority of the Nepali societies in US, you will a group of people controling the society, and having election secretly or openly but with a trick like organizing a election day on working in some remote corner of the city. After seeing all these fake societies exe.coms, I will say NO to ISNE or NAES. I do not want to be member of society that is not transparent, and is controlled by few LAUKES, who don't want to give up their control in fair manner, rather want to exploit it in our expense. Thanks. GP

You raiesd fairly good point GP. Well, if you find such a association and wanna be member than dont forget to invite me as well. I just wanna see how it works. I believe club, association, society and groups are all for chito chat, JAAD PARTY, politics and many more. So dont expect any more on them rather open op your own " GP Nepali Group" with your own EXE.COM, with all you know. Otherwise be stick in boosting your competency in your filed but dont overlook Sajah.com. GOOD LUCK.
