Well, from whats said hereit turns out that they will start the "random selection" after all the data entry has been done. And ya only for those that were filed in 2nd and 3rd April. Also the website says that they will not be able to start the so called "random selection" for several weeks. Good Luck !

it's not fair to have applications for H1B that comes from people in india ( represented by indian software recruiters based in US ) in random selection with the applicants who actually have their undergrad or other degree from US. The applicants in US dont get another chance to file it next year because the OPT allows only a year's time,,then either go for a higher degree and wait till one gets the degree or else go back to home country,,where they dont have connections like indian recruiters...It's easy for them because they can work there for a year and apply again next year,,it's not the same case with others.. So i guess it's high time that someone should do sth about this situation before it's too late..THe priority should be given to applicants with degree from US colleges,,Otherwise what's the point in coming here for education..to work in some gas station?

I agree with you gwach. I'm frustruated by this situation. I see no hope of being the lucky 65000 to get the h1 out of 200000+ applications. Anyways, I hope all nepalis applying for h1b will get it.

I guess if we send some kind of petition email to USCIS ,,may be it will help them get awakened with the situation,,perhaps atleast set a quota for US undergrad degree ( and not let indians mess with it) if they cannot get away from having indian IT recruiter file for visa ..
