Sajha has the potential to be the most intellectual place any Nepalese can ever visit.
But just having a potential counts for nothing. sajha is as chaotic as Nepalese politics.
Whenever sombody comes along with a new idea, new concept, what does the admin do? block them out.
Why are people blocked from sajha? The sajha admin gets to decide what is right and what is wrong. How can some people get away with posting nude pictures and some people can't say I kick "rear ends". Why are threads that show a young girl showing her breast to god knows who, circulate around for so long?
Now, some of you might say, it is his site, he can do whatever he wants. You are right. But if he doesn't want to show the ideas that he doesn't like, why does he let it get published in the first place.
When you can post a topic you think is right, who is he to say that you are not. Is there a code of conduct listed in sajha somewhere that says this will be allowed and this won't. If there is, why is it not applied to each and every thread. Why is a certain thread targeted and others aren't?

The quality of sajha has been going down more recently by the invasion of the underage posters who have misplaced priorities.

underage, overage, right age. who are you to decide? Does it say anywhere in sajha that if you are not so and so old you cannot post here? If there is then it goes to validate my point even more.

etc. without being provoked or instigated in any way is disrespectful behavior and such behavior is not welcome in sajha at all. That kind of behavior does not constitute any "new idea" nor "new concept". It's just plain old lack for respect for fellow beings. Nothing more.

I can understand the concept of 'Question Authority' as a growing process where you want to question or reject any kind of rules. It is only natural to feel that way and it is a natural progression of things as you enter adolescence and maturity. I am sure most of the people visiting sajha have gone through it or are going through it. It is one thing to question authority and another thing to promote anarchy, inconsideration, disrespect and lack of common etiquette. As in any organized system, there has to be few ground rules and the rules have to be followed in order to achieve a sense of balance and direction towards the goal. Sajha's goal is to bring together Nepali communities and it is not possible to do so unless everyone feels comfortable to be a part of this virtual community. If there are a certain group of people who continuously are disrespectful to others, call others names for no apparent reason, subject others to verbal abuse, then this kind of behavior obviously seems to be against the sajha goal. Please note the key word 'continuously'. I believe that once in a while we as human beings can behave irrationally and few scattered incidents should not be held strictly to a person's character. That is why, even if there are few postings that are in stark contrast to sajha's main goal, I tend to overlook those.

But when the indecency, inconsideration, disrespect, foul language continues to become a strong characteristics of a person's involvement in sajha then for the sake of the rest of the visitors who believe in the goals of sajha and who have a right to be treated fairly and with respect, I will have to take action against the perpetrator. These perpetrators generally point to other threads where there are cases of abuse/disrespect going on and they find that they are targetted unfairly.

But the fact of the matter is that, as I have stated above. Scattered incidents are likely to be ignored, whereas a consistent breach will be acted upon. If any action has been taken against you, please look at the history of your behavior and find the consistency in which your behavior have conflicted with the goal of sajha.

Another thing that I want to clarify is that I am not running sajha so that I promote certain kinds of idea. If you look closely you will see that any and all kinds of ideas are welcome and flourish in sajha - as long as these ideas do not show continuous disdain for other individuals. As much as possible, I do not want to block anyone from being able to participate in sajha, because the goal is to reach as many as possible. If I have to block anyone it is with regret because unfortunately the person cannot follow some basic rules of society as in common courtesy.

KingOfSajha, in real life you don't go around saying "bitches, asses, kiss my royal ass dumb asses, pussies, morons" to people who ask you directions in the street. In today's world the virtual world is increasingly becoming a part of everyones daily life and the line between real and virtual is disappearing quickly. Which makes it more important to learn to have respect for other individual's and their ideas whether it be in real world or in cyber space.

Contrary to what some people may believe, sajha is not a site that is only concerned with statistics. If that was the case then there are many more spicy topics that can easily double the traffic in sajha. What is more challanging is to have an intelligent community of Nepalis built on common respect for other individuals - helping each other out and providing a sense of belonging, all connected by the love for Nepal and Nepalis.

There are many people in this world, BUT, only few are HUMANS.

You don't see me going around dissing threads that makes sense. I do not have a problem with authority. I have seen threads with worse linguistics than my threads. Heck, I don't go calling people mothers and sisters names. What about those threads? where do you draw the line?
